Kurdish militia have moved into Sunni Muslim turf in Syria with the approval of Assad. This is only going to get worse
Smart move on his part... he is probably not in love with the Kurds but that move will indirectly hurt Erdogan's interests, both by hurting the Sunni Muslims and by strengthening the hand of the Kurds along the Turkish border, potentially destabilizing Turkey.

Kurds have switched sides to Russia and Assad regime in Syria and this is not taken will with Islamists.

Reports are that the Russians brokered a deal giving the border between Syria and Turkey to the Kurds. Good for Syria since it will serve as a buffer. Syrian Kurds will be granted autonomy same as in Iraq.

Is this another story that the Merkel regime will insist the police not discuss.
Out of curiosity, I look at a German language tabloid newspaper, Hamburger Morgenpost (www.mopo.de), to see what they had to say about this clash between Kurds and Islamic hard-liners in their city. I scanned through the whole paper on the net and could find not a word about this riot.
