I guess. I am not sure Republican elites live in NH, at least in any numbers. From what I understand, most of the audience were ~ $500 donors, on average. Not exactly elite in the scale of these things.

But it was an effective deflection to accuse them, as they had no way to answer him.

It makes me believe the eventual winner will be “whoever is left with Trump,” since 67% of the Republican primary voters are “not Trump” voters.

Personally I think it would be GREAT if Bush came in 2nd in New Hampshire, it would keep both him and Rubio viable and split the establishment vote and fund raising between the two for the foreseeable future. My worst fear is the establishment will get their act together sooner rather than later and coalesce around one candidate.

I agree, and I hope that Christie and Kasich remain viable (and even come in strong 2d and 3d in a state or two) for the same reason. The worst thing that could happen right now is to have Jeb, Christie, Kasich, and Fiorina drop out after NH or SC and turn their support over to Rubio, which would put him close to Trump and ahead of Cruz in most states as well as nationally. Jeb will stay in the race at least to Super Tuesday because of his big (though shrinking) war chest and connections, I'm not sure about the others.
