Actually Trump is winning in the Texas polls, over Cruz.

He's inflexible! and with his lack of popularity on both sides of the aisle you are almost assured of a hamstrung ineffective presidency

So I take it that you really wish Paul Ryan was running for President.

I am not his friend. But I am grateful to him. Without Jimmy there might never have been a Ronald Reagan. And here again, in a fit of absolute candor, Carter exposed the truth about Trump.

Carter said:

“The reason is, Trump has proven already he’s completly malleable,” Carter explained. “I don’t think he has any fixed (positions) he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.”

Well friend, if you believe that a soft endorsement from Jimmy Carter is something to be embraced then........well, I’m not sure what to say.

Good luck I guess.

Maybe in Liberal Austin. He didn’t poll well in liberal areas even when running for the Senate.

Trump doesn’t tout being that Godly honest Christian that Cruz has. And yet he lies and is soooo funded by globalists. But doesn’t admit it kind of like keeping those loans quiet during senate run. Cruz is not a horrible person he just is not the Saint he is portrayed.

You’re right. Trump is not inane enough now to tout himself as a “Godly honest Christian.” He’s done such a good job in books of touting himself as a hedonist, a purveyor of extravagant excess for the sybarites like himself, an adulterer who has had sex with many married women, and having married three times, he’s kind of given up any chance that his hypocrisy would go unnoticed. Choosing Trump proves that many people really didn’t mind Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades. After all, Trump himself was Bill’s buddy, and he said Bill’s obstruction of justice, perjury, and sexual harassment were unimportant. Trump may wave the Bible, but when he talks about it he’s embarrassing. He may know two Corinthians, perhaps he sold them something, but he doesn’t know Second Corinthians.

Oh, you mean those NY liberal values that Ted embraced when he held a fundraiser at a gay couple’s place? Funny, now that he got their money, the throws them under the bus. He’s such a phony opportunist and has the Cruzbots bamboozled. And, golly gee - it seems that St. Ted uses leftist tactics as well. His voter fraud is straight out of the Hillary playbook.

Vote for Trump!
He’ll bargain with Nancy Pelosi instead of the Freedom Caucus.
And by making 70% of Americans think the Republican Party has been taken over by the world’s largest @$$hole, he’d have to!

In 1980 Carter’s preference was for the Republicans to nominate Reagan (easier to beat).

So Trump’s in GOOD COMPANY!

If you want to see who likes Ted Cruz, look at all the backing he got for everything he has accomplished in the Senate.

Not that it matter who “likes” Ted. He is unelectable as a presidential candidate.

He won’t get a single democrat vote and no one can win with GOP conservative voters alone. His victory in Iowa was not stellar. He has flown under Trump’s wing with Trump taking the flak for conservative positions on immigration since last summer.

People will stand in line to see Trump and soon, the young handsome Ricky Ricardo Rubio, but not basset hound creepy Cruz. Give it a month. Not that I like it but that is realism. Trump would be wheeling and dealing and the democrats would build a wall because Trump would give labor unions the building contract.

Cruz would be an ineffective isolated ideologue if he was elected. Just as he has been in the Senate.

Bookmark this post and revisit it next November.

Jimmy said that Cruz is not malleable. He, of course, being an idiot, had conveniently forgotten Cruz’s remarkable malleability on TPA, his malleability on the Corker bill, his call for an increase in immigration and a 500% increase in H-1B visas.

Yet even as bad as Cruz is, it’s nothing compared to the basic empty fraud that is the character and personality of Trump. It’s his basic fraudulence that allows the phony Trump to betray so many people: with other men’s wives, with his own ex-wives, with his former business partners, with the banks, and with many different workers. Trump is a walking, talking scoundrel. His feigning conservatism may fool those who think character doesn’t matter and who think it doesn’t matter that his word is meaningless. But Trump in office will quickly prove Jimmy right by betraying conservatives.

To: Reagan Disciple

I question your tag “Reagan Disciple”. Ronald Reagan embraced everyone; Democrat or Republican. With Reagan, if you agreed with 80% of his key points, you were on his side.

That’s where Republicans go wrong today- way too rigid.

I’m an elected Republican official, I have many Democrat supporters. I don’t compromise my beliefs, they do.

Why? Because I do what is right for my district. My policies and actions benefit all. Good policy is fair to all, people will support you if you are fair.
