Many of us come here every day.
We no long have a paper delivered, since those papers are propagandist advertisements for the Marxist, Communist, Socialist cabal. These days, that cabal includes the Republican party.
I don’t stop by a news-stand. I don’t shell out $1.00 or more for the local paper there. I come to Free Republic where I am treated to articles from hundreds of media providers, and vanities that are at times top notch. The cost up front, $0.00.
Once per quarter I am asked to help fund the effort that keeps this service available to me. I join my fellow FReepers in doing just that.
We come here, we read here, we debate here, we squabble here. We have that ability, because you had a concept, initiated an effort, started the site that was a glimmer of what it has become today.
At times it is frustrating here, my opinions not prevailing, but I get to present my opinion. I get to go toe to toe with other people who share the same goals as I do.
In a few days I will have been her for eighteen years. God willing I’ll be here another eighteen.
As long as I am here, I will support your efforts to facilitate a Conservative meeting place, where the best interests of not only our nation, but the world are discussed.

Thanks again, D1. And I believe we were both posting on Prodigy for two or three years prior to that. Free Republic was founded in September 1996, so we’re just about 20 years old. Next year we’ll be 21 and eligible to vote. Good thing we’ve had all this training in hand-to-hand political combat!

Yes, we were on Prodigy participating on the Whitewater bulletin board.
I remember running into you on the Internet Chat area one early morning where you mentioned you were creating a new place to discuss Conservative issues.
Not being an early joiner in much of anything, I didn’t come by Free Republic for a while. When I did, I stayed.
