[VIDEO]Jerry Falwell Jr. Speaks out on Trump Endorsement
CNN News ^ | 1/28/2015 | CNN VIdeo

This is my commentary based on video. Salient points begin at 2:30 Jerry Falwell, Jr. just did the most amazing endorsement of Trump. A few points he made, but watch video for actual: 1. His dad got a lot of flack for endorsing a divorced Hollywood actor, Ronald Reagan. 2. He discussed how Liberty U. was failing financially years ago and they hired the best lawyers, accountants, etc....not based on their faith, but based on their expertise. They turned Liberty U. around and he said the US is very much like Liberty U., and Trump has a track record of turning things around, etc. 3. He said as a Christian parent, you would go to the best doctor with a sick child—we have a sick country, he feels Trump has the expertise to fix it.

Thought everyone should see this video of Falwell interview. Very revealing, very insightful.

That’s fine. So long as he is honest about saying only fiscal issues matter to him in selecting a candidate. That’s not me. Neither was it his dad, the founder of the Moral Majority. But ok. He gets one vote and can choose whomever he likes. I don’t care. Can’t say it does not affect my opinion of him. Mostly I never think of him one way or the other. I wish no evil on Liberty University.

Eh, ith all due respect, you are incorrect—he said his dad get get flack for endorsing Reagan...his dad chose the best candidate for the job. There was not an “evangelical faith litmus test.”

I heard his dad speak many times. Junior is very different from his dad just as Trump is very different from Reagan.

Does anyone have any insight into how someone inherits an evangelical connection to God?

I can see the first generation, like Jerry Falwell, having a revelation and special blessing to have an evangelical calling. My unanswered question is how does one, like Jerry Falwell, will divine inspiration to one’s offspring?

This process seems more like inheriting a business, like a used car lot, than a religious movement. Maybe its like the Royal family handing down the crown.

And when Trump nominates pro-death justices...what then?

Thanks but I’ll stick with Cruz. He’s TrusTed!

Wow—Interesting...

No one said his son did or didn’t have divine inspiration...that was neither his nor my point—but then you obviously did not watch the video!

Sooo Ted Cruz uses his dad’s “evangelical creds” to bolster his credibility among Iowa Evangelicals, yet you are questioning Jerry Falwell Junior?

I suppose you don’t like Franklin Graham either—unless he endorses your candidate maybe?

I think it is really insulting what you said about Liberty U in inheriting a business—like a used car lot??? Wow—that is just about the most crass insulting thinking I have read on FR—and there is plenty.

I suggest you actually watch and pay attention to a video before commenting.

Hmm I watched his dad too—and his son said basically he knew his dad better than anyone...which sort of makes sense. And he basically said his dad would approve of his decision. I suggest you watch the entire video before making a comment.

Fine...

You do not know who Trump will nominate—perhaps he will ask Palin or Shlafly for advice? There is no one more loved on FR than Palin and more pro-life than Schlafly!!

Better do your research on Ted—he is not all that Trusted here...

Trump has more in common with the democrats. So please don’t lecture me on who to trust.

You obviously are deeply supportive of trump, may I ask you to explain something to me? It is a question I have concerning the great wall.

With all due respect to Mr. Falwell, he needs to spend more time in the Word.

Proverbs 29:2 - When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn.

Proverbs 14:34 - Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.

No lecture you seemed to state with certainty that Trump will nominate a pro-choice judge. You don’t know for certain who any candidate would nominate.

Oh and I was not lecturing, you chose to comment on my thread; I have a right to reply. However, if I were lecturing, I would say you have not really looked into background of your guy....he may be pro-life, but he fails on many other issues, but then I bet you did not even look at the video.

I am puzzled as to how anyone thinks this wall will be built, clearly, the president of this nation does not have the power to appropriate money to acheive this. How does something like this get started? What is a president going to do towards this task to get it going?

LOL wait, you are lecturing the President of Liberty University, son of Jerry Falwell that he needs to spend more time in the Word...Wow...pretty arrogant, but OK...Answer me this?

1. Are you a pastor?
2. Did you even watch the video?

Why thank you. And I am sure he will seek guidance from the likes of Phyliss Schlafly, Jerry Falwell Jr. and Sarah Palin among others. Who knows, people suggested he might nominate Cruz.
