Medical marijuana will be on Florida ballot in November
Miami Herald ^

Floridians will decide this November whether to allow medical marijuana in the state.

On Wednesday, a constitutional amendment to legalize the drug gained enough signed petitions to qualify for the ballot next November. If passed, the amendment would allow doctors to prescribe marijuana for people with “debilitating conditions” such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy or multiple sclerosis.

I think this is the issue pushed by attorney Morgan. He had crust in his firm after he got beat by Rubio.

I’m in Colorado, and let me tell you what I know about medical marijuana. About 2 - 3% of the marijuana patients actuality need it as a medicine. The rest are recreational users that found a crooked doctor. The medical marijuana laws are a lie and everyone knows it. The real goal is to just diminish laws in general by making us all accept they have no meaning. The longer I live, the more Ayn Rand looks like a prophet.

In 2014 the Florida ballot initiative got 56% yes and it needed 60%. It will be interesting to if anything has changed and if it gets over 60% this year.

My best friend just died of colon cancer. She was the nicest most devout Christian I have ever met. She was also a nurse.

She used medical marijuana.

She said the only problem was consistency. She had one provider that provided capsules that didn’t get her stone that quit. After that, she had a hard time finding a good privider.

My daughter has a rare movement disorder. I keep on wondering if medical marijuana would help it. I’d be ok if she tried. The other meds for it have terrible side effects.

I think it needs to be regulated like other medication, but it does help with things like nausea.

I don’t care about medical pot and, in fact, am for it. People dying or with some genuine medical condition it help should have access.

But Dems can sell this to the young, stupid, stoners and lefties, “First step in making recreational pot legal! And ANY doctor will say you need it so it’s de facto legalization.”

That’ll get a bunch of burnout stoner losers (Democrats) to show up to the polls that might have stayed home and smoked their bong.

Make sense?

It’s like putting an anti-gun law on the ballot in November. That’d bring out our crowd to vote against it so they won’t do it.

This is chess, folks, not checkers.

A plan to bring the freeloading potheads out to vote for Clinton. Works every time it’s tried. These dumbass proposition should not be allowed on the ballot during presidential election years. They truly suck.

It's a dangling carrot to get the Sanders pot heads to the polls.

It is a shame. This will bring out a certain type of person who is usually not too motivated to vote:

“Hey, dude, is this where we vote? Like, they said if we vote for this Colonel Sanders dude he will like give us free weed, man.”

The true gateway drugs these days are prescription pills coming from doctors (pain meds, ADHD meds).

I’m all for comforting those hurting and really don’t care if people want to get stoned. It’s no worse than alcohol - which is terrible.

But this is POLITICS. Swing state. Close vote. Pot being on the ballot could tip the damn national election.

We had built a summer home in Colorado in 2008. It was peaceful and serene. Since this marijuana stuff became legal every tom, Dick and Harry s moving there. They are coming to get high and rich. Now our serenity is surrounded by squatters living in tents and old trucks and throwing their sewage into Rio Grande River. We have 5 pot places within 10 miles from us. The schools are overwhelmed by these poor kids who as the newspaper put it “craps in 5 gallon buckets” and don’t bathe. There is a medical marijuana in Florida called Charlottes Web. I don’t know where that stands today. This marijuana thing was pushed by Charlie turncoat Crist and Morgan and Morgan attorneys “for the people”. Trash.

Medical pot is a freaking LIE of massive proportion. John Morgan is a pimp— pure and simple, a manipulative whoring drunkard who should have stayed a telephone repairman, but instead became the obese prematurely aged power freak who never goes to court and makes his money from consolidating ambulance chasing cases. That former Gov. Crist (Yebbies sponsored “boy” and noted polesmoker with a millionairess wife as a “beard” for his queerness) ended up in Morgan’s “firm” speaks volumes.
This initiative needs to go down in defeat. FL has enough crime as it is without introduction of the “off street” pharmacists who will try to make a buck off the “legal” prescriptive market— that won’t be sold through true pharmacy prescription. That’s a fact. f’n stoners— useless feminized fatties with man-tits and zero motivation or focus. Rant over. Now really do have a goal to stop this, cold.

Then they need to hire a different printer that doesn’t smoke it while printing the Florida ballots. ;-)

Indeed- we already have prescription THC (highly potent form) in Marinol— legal THC prescribed quite a lot for cancer and other patients. People don’t need to go to a head shop for administration of the active ingredient, particularly when there have not been ANY double blind true studies to prove any pain alleviation or other efficacy.
Physicians have a rather large variety of other agents to help people, including opiates and Class 2 pain meds.

This is a non-starter ballot option, because the money made from any “legalized” pot will not— under FL banking laws, be allowed to be deposited in a bank— so all sorts of criminal cover and criminal element will get involved, more than they already are.

Ayn Rand certainly wouldn't have supported the ludicrous notion that the State should subject someone to prison time just for possessing the wrong plant...

It was actually 58% yes. Young voters turn out in greater numbers during presidential elections, so that will likely work to its advantage in 2016.

You very eloquently stated my case for me. I think this would be the death knell for this state were that to become a constitutional amendment.
