It’s too late for Cruz .. he had his chance and he blew it .. Cruz is begging for Trump’s time now , Trump’s in control of the situation no matter what he does . Cruz is desperate

Ted was born in Canada, and held Canadian citizenship until 15 months ago.

Trump agreed to the debate.
Why won't Cruz debate him in Canada?
That's a bit cowardly.

Feel sorry for Cruz folks. Trump and Cruz have been on the debate stage six times in this primary.
The Cruzstaceans have always had all their hopes pinned on the debates because Ted is a master debater and his Senate record is, well half term.
So far, we have yet to see the mastery. They think if everyone hears Ted and his soaring rhetoric people will swoon. Landslide.
Mop the floor with Trump? Nope. He has mopped the floor with a dish cloth and lukewarm water.

Uh, Cruz’s dad was not a US citizen. He was, I believe, a US Resident.

Did Cruz also give up his Cuban citizenship?

One of my problems with Cruz is he “forgot” he was a Canadian and just recently renounced his Canadian citizenship. This from a supposedly off the charts brilliant lawyer? Also, did the people of Texas know he was a Canadian citizen when they voted him into the Senate? There is a case to be made that this was fraud on Cruz’s part. And then there is the better known issues of “forgetting” about the Goldman Sachs money and his “for it before he was against it” votes and his pathetic excuses.
So if he’s so smart how did these things happen? Is it just that he thinks we are so stupid? If you look at his past there is reason to think this is exactly what he thinks...he is so smart and we are so stupid - particularly even if we went to one of the “minor iveys”.
Either he’s not as smart as he thinks or he’s intentionally deceptive. I have to agree with W...I just don’t like the guy.

heh. I chuckled a bit.
Honestly though the 1 on 1 debate thing reeks of desperation. They’ve had many debates and Trump has been on stage for all of them and he’s won all of them.

He’s a lawyer AND a politician. If you can’t trust him, who can you trust? /sarc

He must be going off the Drudge polls to claim victory considering he spent most of the debates citing how great he was and making fun of Jeb.
Can we expect a president Trump to tweet his policy decisions?
Does he prefer the iPhone 6 or a Samsung? Critical thinkers need to know.
To: ConservativeMind
I stand corrected. I did not catch that it was Trump and not Cruz.

Actually a good counter-move on Cruz's part. Gonna be hard for Trump to dodge this one
Are you not paying attention? He just did. Trump has already won, why would he give up any control to allow cruz a shot to dethrone him? cruz has been on Trumps coattails long enough, it is time for him to go out and make his own way. He will have the debate floor practically all to himself tomorrow night. Let's see what he can do with it.

He would give up control because it looks bad if can make 1.5m for veterans by just debating a “loser” like Cruz.

To: Helicondelta
Why doesnt Cruz say, “sure, we can debate in Canada”? What harm would that cause Cruz? People are not going to avoid voting for him because of some phony birther issue.

Trump really does think he won the debates. Why? Because unscientific spammed online polls say so.

Please, that's chump change for Goldman Sachs. And it only looks bad to people like you who would have already decided they will vote for a Canadian/Cuban/American over an All-American Patriot.
