Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America founder Paul Rieckhoff tweeted Wednesday that he would decline any contributions that came from the event, which Trump has proposed in place of his attending Fox News' debate this week.
"If offered, @IAVA will decline donations from Trump's event. We need strong policies from candidates, not to be used for political stunts," he said.

Ass bites like this do ALL Veterans groups a huge disservice.
Its better not to donate to any of them rather than risk donating to groups like his or Wounded Warriors who waste money at the top end.
I bet the majority of vets he represents don’t feel this way. How selfish of him.
"On February 13, 2014, under Rieckhoff's leadership, IAVA lead to the creation, passage and signing into law of the historic Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for America's Veterans (SAV) Act. The law was named after Marine CPL Clay Hunt, a sniper, IAVA member and personal friend of Rieckhoff and other IAVA leaders. Rieckhoff stood on stage with President Obama, Clay's mother, Susan and other national leaders for a signing ceremony at the White House." He's a DemBot.
The money should go directly to the vets who apply for it, and to their families.
He apparently speaks for all veterans that his charity supports. That’s why he makes $145,000 a year.
I am glad that they did not want to be used a pawn by brave sir Trump as he runs away from the debate.
General Label there “Veterans Groups”. There’s nothing quite like finding a jerk who’s group I have never heard of and probably voted for Obama and saying he represents “Veterans Groups”.
Stars and Stripes (now Stripes) says this guy and his followers are a very liberal group. So, this is no surprise.
used as a pawn
That’s the way it should be.
This is the veteran’s group that Ben Affleck does commercials for. A liberal organization.
Big time Democrat tool.
That was my first thought, that he voted for and supports the Won! Those poor vets are dead men walking!
Well screw ‘em then.
There is one in the photo lower left.
