Harris grand jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos (TEXAS VALUES?)
Houston Chronicle ^

Posted on 01/25/2016 5:11:19 PM PST by TigerClaws

A Harris County grand jury investigating allegations that a Planned Parenthood clinic in Houston illegally sold the tissue of aborted fetuses has cleared the organization of wrongdoing and instead indicted two anti-abortion activists behind the undercover videos that sparked the probe.

Secret videographers David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt were both indicted on charges of tampering with a governmental record, a second-degree felony that carries a punishment of up to 20 years in prison. Daleiden received an additional misdemeanor indictment under the law prohibiting the purchase and sale of human organs.

Doesn’t Houston have a gay mayor, too?

Planned Parenthood Board Member Works in Office of D.A.
Investigating Sale of Aborted Babies

Steven Ertelt
Aug 10, 2015

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson has promised a thorough investigation of the Planned Parenthood abortion business after one of the expose videos caught a Houston, Texas Planned Parenthood official arranging for the sales of aborted babies and dissecting babies it had aborted and planned to ship off for sale to a biotech firm. But a new report indicates a Planned Parenthood board member works as a prosecutor in the district attorney's office. ..."

They indicted Gov. Perry back a year or two ago, so, I’d just be ready to defend myself.

They even have indicted one of the filmmakers for trying to buy body parts.

Who was offering?

Completely ignore the crime and go after the whistleblowers??

Pathetic.

” tampering with a governmental record “, WOW.......How serious!! /sarc

These appear to be minor process crimes at best. I doubt these will stick.

But more damaging for the left, they have now dragged this story back in public view. The videos are all over the place and people will be watching them again. They will see PP employees bragging and laughing about selling body parts and will look at the trial charges and see the disconnect.

Why did they choose Houston? Other than it being a liberal hell hole, the reason is clear. Houston has a large black population. I bet most of the jurors were black women. WHO is the biggest user of PP services?? Thats how they got the indictments.

Didn’t you know that it is illegal to expose evil in America? Whistle blowers are part of the problem, not the solution. All dissent must be crushed...

I am disappointed that ANY judge/court would indict a group that was trying to bring to light the documented barbaric actions of PP. To do so, those people doing the undercover work probably bent the rules and pretended to be someone they were not. Hopefully a strong defense team of attorneys will rise to the occasion and not only put forth a strong defense, but subpoena all sorts of PP records from their organization all over the country. Someone sometime has to peel back the false cover story about PP and how it preys on the black and minority communities and although abortion is legal there is no way that taxpayer money to the tune of $500M a year should be given to support PP abortion activities.

Has any one asked Ted Cruz or Donald Trump for comments?

This could backfire big on Cruz after his "New York Values" sneer.

Pathetic Huff Po loonies are celebrating the indictments on the front page:

And nothing for the folks killing babies and selling them for profit. Nothing.

They will answer to God one day.

The prosecuting attorney is on the board of Houston Planned Parenthood. Conflict of interest, clear cut.
One of the attorneys at the DA’s office goes to my church, and we are in the same Sunday School class.

This could backfire big on Cruz after his "New York Values" sneer.

Trump was the one who, in his mid-50s, said he supported all forms of abortion, thereby including partial birth. And in 2013 he praised New York City's communist mayor Bill Di Blasio, and expressed support for gays in the military.

Clarification: Trump’s support for gays in the military was in 2009, not 2013. In any case, he was in his mid-50s in 2009.

Hmmmmm....

Let’s pray that God turns this lemon into lemonade by bringing out all the HORROR of Planned *Parent*hood during the trial.

I thank You and praise You for doing this, Lord. Amen

Yes, that's true. But Cruz is the one from Texas, who bragged about what he had done as Solicitor General or whatever it's called.

Optics.

People are supporting Trump to stop PC madness, to stop amnesty, to restore America's military and economic standing, not because they want a dyed-in-the-wool conservative.

He's the GOP-e's dream candidate and they still don't like him.
