A new federal report reveals that 70% of the firearms seized by Mexican authorities between 2009 and 2014 originated in the United States. In addition, the report shows that the majority of those U.S.-originated guns were bought in California, Arizona, and Texas, southwest states that border Mexico.

Are we starting this line of crap again? How many attributed to fast and furious? Oh, shhhh. Not allowed to talk about that. Maybe there's a border loop hole. Oh, shhhh. Not allowed to talk about that. No doubt thousands and thousands of fully auto firearms are flooding across the Rio Grande daily. Maybe somebody should start inter continental background checks.

P.S. Thanks for the southern border geography lesson. Idiots.

And we have a former Attorney General who apparently has gotten off scott-free in this subversive attempt to limit Americans’ Second Amendment rights at the expense of the lives of at least two Border Patrol officers. It is reprehensible and disgusting and treasonous in my opinion all the way up to this Muslim’s White House.

Liberal gun grabbers should build a wall on the border.

Problem solved.

Since its the ATF providing the stats how do we know they arent still running F&F ops with the FBI? I should note thatthe purpose of F&F was nothing more than an attempt to ‘color’ the data to facilitate more ‘gun control’.

California is already one of the least gun friendly states in the Union.

1. There is nothing in Obama's EO which is not already implemented in CA. If guns are already going from CA too Mexico, his new orders will do nothing to stop it.

2. Why is the solution to a problem in Mexico taking away the rights of US Citizens?

Not this BS again, 70% of the suspected guns of US Origin were either confirmed or couldn’t be verified but are assumed (no serial number).....The other 90% of guns in Mexico weren’t even checked.

Of course they came from the US, via the armories in Mexico, Central and South America, from where they were stolen or from where corrupt police, militaries and governments SOLD them to the narcos.

“To obtain the firearms in the United States, the DTOs or their agents typically rely on “straw purchasers,” people who can legally buy the guns and pass a background check but who lie on the background check form when they say the purchase is for themselves, which itself is a felony.”

The article says some 70% of 100,000+ firearms traced back to the US, and an unidentified % of those came from straw buyers. To know that, they have to have traced the transactions to the straw buyers, and know who they were. Even if each strawman buys a lot of guns, this still implies 1000’s of illegal buyers.

So, how many straw purchasers has the Obama justice department prosecuted? Any? Would prosecution lead to “disparate impact”?

But, but, but, I thought defacing the SN was illegal. Then there’s this:

I thought originally there was some question as to where the 777 destroying .50 cal came from. According to the link it was a f&f traceable weapon. Weird huh?

Why is the solution to a problem in Mexico taking away the rights of US Citizens?

Because the 'problem in Mexico' is just an excuse to cover the real motive which is the taking away of US rights. I know that you know that but let me take the opportunity to riff F & F again.

Operation Fast & Furious had as its central purpose the subversion of the US Constitution. The program's strategy was to gin up a furor over guns sourced in the US being used in Mexican crime so that the US public could be stampeded into restricting the 2nd Amendment. Since few such guns were being used in Mexico more had to be supplied. They also had to show up at crime scenes so that they could be traced back to the US to 'prove' the Obama administration's assertions.

The GOP should be harping on one message every time F&F is mentioned. F&F was a program cynically designed to result in Mexican deaths - so that 'evil' US-sourced guns could be found at the crime scenes and US gun laws could be blamed for the carnage. Holder, Napolitano, Hillary and Obama and a host of their minions cooked up this program knowing that Mexicans would die - in fact, needing Mexicans to die for this scheme to work. The Obama administration was cynically willing to slaughter hundreds of Hispanics to accomplish their political purposes. The only "botch" in the scheme was F&F guns turning up to get Americans killed too.

Not even Mexicans are dumb enough to want guns manufactured in Mexico.

They used to make the Mendoza Machine gun there, and back in the 1960s they made the full auto Trejo pistol.

The 70% number is only 70% of the guns that Mexico submitted to the U.S. to trace.

It is not 70% of the guns confiscated in Mexico:
