Exactly. People who say “but Trump isn’t conservative”. People who say that should list what they mean by conservatism.
What they really mean is “he isn’t one of us elites”
yep
Bkmk
Exactly. People who say âbut Trump isnât conservativeâ. People who say that should list what they mean by conservatism.
There is political correctness on both sides. The right side is now being exposed. This is a good thing.
Right. We are ‘Patriots United Against Leftists and the Establishment’.
We are not a movement. We are a coalition.
Conservatives are finding people excited about the wall, about banning muslims, sanctuary cities, etc. We are uniting, riding a revolutionary wave of anti-establishment, anti-leftist COURAGE.
Cruz cannot connect with low information patriots and low information free-market voters the way Trump can.
The mandate of a Trump presidency would not be Trump’s mandate — it is OUR mandate. If he ever openly defies it, his salad days would be over in a heartbeat.
The word ‘nationalism’ is unfortunate by Rush.
PATRIOTISM.
Trump might flirt with nationalizing industries, but it’s all just a way to reach low-info voter patriotism:
America First.
He will bring jobs back here, but through the Art of the Deal rather than through nationalization.
The US needs to start focusing on what benefits the US.
‘Right now we have a naked communist running, and he seems to have at least some chance of becoming president of America.’
Good point. On the flipside of Trump is Sanders.
Sanders represents just how confused and clueless many frustrated people are. Those were the people who schools and ‘higher’ learning effectively indoctrinated.
They know something is terribly wrong and think the solution is to double down on socialism.
Rush and Glenn Beck had each predicted in his own way how this would happen — collapse the system [Cloward and Piven].
Phase Two of Cloward and Piven is for someone exactly like Sanders to offer bold socialist/progressive solutions.
The good news?
More people get excited by Trump than by Sanders. And there’s a good chance that Cruz would also beat Sanders.
Right now is an opportunity to revolutionize education with a constitutional amendment. But once DC gets smoothed over or even appears to be smoothed over then we lose that window of opportunity.
If we lose this chance, leftist dogma in education will erode us further through attrition.
We need Education Reform. Mandatory debates for professors and maximum freedom for households to choose how to spend their education funding — put that wasted tax money to work in powerful modernized education:

The irony is that folks like you, who overblow any possible fault in our candidates, are part of the core that helps the Left put Soviet Maximus in the WH. Between you guys and those who decided that Cruz isn't really a prize either, we no longer have a viable candidate - the Dems don't even have to cheat with the way our side can't find a game plan that involves any sort of winning.
Make thyself useful and find a place your mouth goes that is worthy of your money...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate (even if he's "rich enough to do it on his own") as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.
It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.
PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
poconopundit made an interesting point about Trump and H. L. Mencken

He found a way to empirically codify the difference between Cruz supporters and Trump conservatives [part of a temporary coalition IMHO].
Liz posted:
Back then, Donald Trump offered to put up his own money to stop the [Ground Zero Victory Mosque aka] Mosque and Islamic community center planned near Ground Zero.
Trump said he’d pay $6 million for the Park51 Cordoba Mosque site (a princely sum for property then-worth about $4.5 million).
Trump was lacerated for his efforts by the property/s investor.
[unquote - thank you Liz!]

Now this ...
Trump [Ground Zero Mosque Champion] touts faith at LibertyU...

‘Christianity under siege!’
Amen, my ‘evil overlord’! We must defend Christians to fulfill our sinister plans. And Sarah Palin will prepare the animal sacrifice.

Is Trump a monster? That would mean the following:
1. Hannity is in on it.
2. Rush is in on it [or is he? ‘Nationalism’?]
3. Herman Cain is in on it.
4. Senator Jeff Sessions is being duped.
5. Phyllis Schlafly is being duped.
6. Jerry Falwell, Jr talking to Hannity re Trump ...

7. Michael Savage, probably the most paranoid anti-establishment talk radio host around, is also being duped.
8. And last but not least — Sarah Palin is ‘in on it’.
I’m sure the list is even longer than that.
In the meantime, this super-villain was attacked during the response to the State of the Union Address by the ‘G’ OP. How ‘Wellstone Memorial’ of’em. About as strong an endorsement in Trump’s favor as you can get.
If there is any clue on earth that Trump is evil, Jeb Bush would have already exposed it by now. Easy these days to leak via proxy. Trump has destroyed the Bush Dynasty’s aura of power by hostile takeover.
Then there’s the ‘stream of consciousness’ open-book events. A super-villain doesn’t roll that way — too much to hide.
We are in a war with Marxist globalists and we are at war with Islam and we are losing both wars. The country needs a leader that is unabashedly an American that will defend America, rebuild the military, secure the border, defend Christianity, bring back manufacturing jobs and deport illegals. Prior to Trump getting in, NO ONE was talking about any of these things. NOBODY.
If we do not fix immigration this election cycle the country is done, the constitution is dead are we the people are screwed. That is why we the people are getting behind Trump. It got zero to do with right/left. It's survival.
This poster has had several timeouts for her behavior, and thinks Clinton was a great pres. She’s due for a zot soon.
They know something is terribly wrong and think the solution is to double down on socialism.
This is the correct diagnosis, to which you should add mass media as a source of "public education."
Phase Two of Cloward and Piven is for someone exactly like Sanders to offer bold socialist/progressive solutions.
It's also a phase in The Road to Serfdom.
Right now is an opportunity to revolutionize education with a constitutional amendment. But once DC gets smoothed over or even appears to be smoothed over then we lose that window of opportunity.
Why the hell do you keep thinking that the solutions to problems flow from the top down with better laws? I got over that almost twenty years ago.
I've got another article for you to read, Knowledge Economy: A Simple and Workable Plan to Transform Education. This one has lots of subsections. :-)
If we lose this chance, leftist dogma in education will erode us further through attrition.
You forgot immigration. Both.
Yeah, they believe the reason it failed everywhere else is because the other countries simply ran out of money.....in the US it WILL work!
They cannot wrap their minds around the idea that they are completely and utterly wrong.
The majority of the voters of this country are going to be IN ON IT.
As a high-information voter I an unable to support Trump for the nomination. The Emperor has no clothes.
Cruz all the way.
Agreed.
That says a lot. You are Free Traitor gloBULList and you like Cruz....
