A broad group of conservationists, state lawmakers and tribal members on Tuesday called for the federal government to arrest the Southern Nevada leaders and self-styled militiamen leading the armed occupation of an Oregon wildlife refuge headquarters.

Battle Born Progress, the state advocacy group leading the call from Nevada, is also sending a care package to U.S. Fish and Wildlife officers based in Oregon to show their appreciation for handling the standoff.

Ammon Bundy and Ryan Bundy, the sons of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy, overtook the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge's headquarters in southeastern Oregon on Jan. 2. Since then, the group has occupied the complex of about 12 buildings with armed, self-styled militia protesters and has held nearly daily press conferences.

Oddly enough, a lot of people don’t get that “conservationists” are not necessarily “conservatives”. Although, a lot of “conservatives” are “conservationists”.

I would rather see them call for the arrest of Harry Reid.

A lot of conservationists are environmentalists and a lot of environmentalists are communists (I.e. Van Jones).

We finally get rid of him in January. When will we get rid of these guys? I think they are there for the long haul. It is a weird situation. They aren’t really doing anything so I’d just keep them there. I would hate to be stuck in one place the rest of my life and not be able to move around. I think they will voluntarily leave at some point. Just leave them around and take care of them once they leave if necessary.

Harry Reid and his v-e-r-y mysterious eye injury. Treadmill accident? Yeah, right.
My thought is he tangled with the wrong people and received the injury as a "reminder" of what to do and what not to do.

If our “leaders” and bureaucrats don’t respect the law, why should Clive Bundy or any of us? “Rule of Law” reduced to “Rule of Force”.

The real conservationists are the ranchers & farmers the BLM & FWS is trying to run off the land...

“(a4) By the 1990’s the Hammonds were one of the very few ranchers who still owned private property adjacent to the refuge. Susie Hammond in an effort to make sense of what was going on began compiling facts about the refuge. In a hidden public record she found a study done by the FWS in 1975. The study showed the “no use” policies of the FWS on the refuge were causing the wildlife to leave the refuge and move to private property. The study showed the private property adjacent to the Malheur Wildlife Refuge produced four times more ducks and geese than the refuge. The study also showed the migrating birds were 13 times more likely to land on private property than on the refuge. When Susie brought this to the attention of the FWS and refuge personnel, her and her family became the subjects of a long train of abuses and corruptions.”

Gee, even ducks and geese and migrating birds prefer private land vs Fed land.

And we think they are dumb.

These aren't either. They're greedy thugs.
