Ma, I do know this Constellation’s name is “The Eye of God.”
It is a magnificent work from the hand of God.
How cool that you have your own owl to watch! is it a webcam? I love to watch a pair of eagles on one, too! I haven’t seen the owls. Guess I need to look for them. Their babies are a hoooot! :)
Yes, it’s a web cam and a very good setup, too. Great IR cam for night viewing.

Last year’s two owlets were VERY entertaining and I saved almost 900 screen caps. LOL!
Momma’s in the nest tree now calling out to Dad for food. She’ll be on the nest before too long, I reckon.
I also watch 3 bald eagle nests, a red-tailed hawk nest, and 3 white stork nests that are in Hungary. There are many out there but those are the nests I’ve settled on for regular viewing.
Just the eagles could take up a lot of my time! LOL!
Do the kitties lick their chops when they hear the sound of birds hooting and cheeping? :)
Darn...right now there is no picture. Or something on my laptop was blocking it. I’ll check back tomorrow.
Most people use tabs but I keep three windows open when on the computer. One with my email, one with a nest cam, and one for FR or other sites I pop around to. The windows are set so I can just enough of the back two to know when an email pops in or if something’s going on at the nest while perusing on the front window.
It works for keeping an eye on the birds while doing other things. When there’s some action, I pull the window to the front for screen caps.
Multitasking. LOL!
Must be something on your end. I can see the nest just fine.
Hope you can get it to work.
Just thought about something......I get a little pop-up window that says “scanstyles does nothing in Webkit/Firefox/Opera.” Do you get that? I just close it out and everything works fine.
We’ve all learned a thing or two about multitasking around here, huh!
Now I know how you know when the 50 is sneaking up! LOL!
I’ll check that out. Thanks!
Found it...on another page but it’s working great so I bookmarked it! :)
If you use any of those, it might be why you aren’t getting the video. I get a black screen until I close that little pop-up and since I don’t use any of those, I get the video feed.
I just don’t understand why they’d have a setup like that though.
Great! I hope you enjoy the “show” this season. Not a whole lot going on these days but once the eggs hatch, this nest is addicting. LOL! The owlets last year were loaded with personality.
That might be another thing. I have a pop-up blocker...and ad blocker...called Adblock Plus which does its job extremely well. But I did find it with a link to a second page. So I’m good to go.
At least you found a link that works and that’s what counts.
Of all the nests I keep tabs on, this was by far the most fun last year. Things just don’t crank up until the eggs hatch, and we have to have eggs first! I hope Momma gets down to business soon. She’s running late this year.
It’s fun watching the babies. I liked that part of the eagle-cam. I always held my breath that the little things didn’t fall out of the nest. They’re so weak and wobbly when first hatched. LOL!
LOTS of fun watching the babies.
I enjoy seeing how the different varieties of birds (the parents) work together to raise their young. Some of the dads are VERY involved, like the eagles, and some aren’t. Owl daddies are food providers and that’s pretty much it. Once Momma lays the first egg, she doesn’t leave the nest until the owlets grow to a fairly good size. I only saw the Savannah dad a handful of times last year.
Watching a beautiful early morning HEAVY snowfall at one of the nests in Hungary at the moment. It’s going to be pretty when daylight arrives. It’s already pretty since the IR cam gives a good view.
