It is particularly telling that Barack Obama spent part of his State of the Union speech telling us that the state of our Union is strong while Iranian pirates seized two U.S. Navy vessels and then, as pointed out by Rick Moran, violated the Geneva Conventions by publishing a photo of the captured sailors on their knees with their hands on their heads.
The Iranian action was both piracy and an intentional act of war against the United States. If the boats strayed into Iranian waters due to navigational or mechanical problems, Iran was obliged under international law to render them assistance. "Accidents in international air or sea traffic, even those involving military vessels, generally require nations to assist the victims and keep hands off the stricken planes or ships, the experts said." Note also that "Iranian officials searched [the boats] for advanced technology and sensitive communications."

The part I’m not sure of is how far he will go...far enough to allow Iran to destroy Saudi Arabia?
Far enough on the other hand to declare war on Iran to stop a future election?

I keep seeing that headline and thinking ‘Barry & the Butt Pirates’ for some reason. Don’t know why.
The whole thing was a psy-op, designed to boost Iran’s standing with LIV Americans. When that failed they went to plan B and released some of their hostages.
Iran and the rest of the world has witnessed a ransom being paid by US.
This encourages more kidnapping of US citizens as it proven to allow money to be made and for release of criminals.

The enemy knows that you attacked Libya and had Qadaffi killed so that you and Hillary and other Democrats could steal Libya’s wealth.
So they hit you at Benghazi to show that they are serious. They want that money back. They threaten to blackmail you by releasing proof about how you attacked Libya and had Qadaffi killed so you and Hillary and other Democrats could grab Libya’s wealth.
So you have Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “lose” $6,000,000,000 from the State Department to pay blackmail.
Now, they really have their hooks into you. They sell their blackmail information to other enemies.
They want some more money or they will real ease their blackmail info that will put you and Hillary into prison.
How do you get money to them without exposing all the evil that you’ve done?
You help them capture some of our boats and personnel.
Then, you tell the government officials paying out that money that it was ransom for our boats and personnel and that the payout must be kept secret.
That how you get away with using taxpayer money to pay for your personal evil actions.
