A new poll shows that four GOP presidential candidates are in a statistical tie in Utah — which has Utah Republican Party Chairman James Evans working on a backdoor way to nominate the man he says local voters really want: Mitt Romney.
On the Democratic side of the race, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are in a surprisingly close race among Utahns — with Clinton leading Sanders by a 50-40 margin.
That's according to a statewide poll by The Salt Lake Tribune and Hinckley Institute of Politics, conducted by SurveyUSA, that interviewed 989 registered voters between Jan. 6-13.

The Establishment plan seems to be to encourage Trump to kill off Cruz and in doing so, kill off his own chances. Meanwhile, they are going to shelter Rubio and Bush behind lackluster poll numbers and try to get a brokered convention.
If these numbers are correct, then Jeb has completely collapsed since Utah was the only state he was leading in a couple months ago.

It is no secret that the Establishment is throwing everything including the kitchen sink at Trump right now. They even said even if Trump wins, then they may try to get the delegates to put in their guy anyway.

Trump has come back strong in Utah. He was way down last time I saw polls. Pretty sure he was way behind several others. Now he’s statistically tied for 1st.

Liseten pal, they may be conservative (and very nice people), but they are like lemmings when it comes to doing what their church tells them to do. I know, I was raised in the faith. My progenitors founded one of the towns in Utah! Mormons are also behind the movement of “Mexican Saints” into this country (in that regard, they are just like the Catholics).

This is the first poll I’ve seen out of UT where Trump was close to the top-—and he’s only 1-point out. Continues the national and state-wide trend of a Trump resurgence.
