People are going after Rubio.
To: BlackFemaleArmyCaptain
One was filed against Cruz as well.
They are asking them to be tossed out based, not on the merits, but based on ‘lack of standing.’
To: BlackFemaleArmyCaptain; Amntn; LucyT; Jim Robinson
And so it begins.
Might be good to ping your list to this one

They might want to call it “lack of understanding”.

Imagine if this were to happen in October after the convention....

Rubio, Jindal, Cruz and Haley are NOT eligible.

Trump can pick Chris Christie or Rick Santorum if he wants an un questionable NBC among other candidates.

If only the GOP’s candidates had spent this much time on the “birther” issue in 2008.

I think the point to be taken away from this article is that the whole NBC thing is going to be an issue (like Trump said) and the DEMS will try to use it against Cruz, Rubio, and possibly even Trump.
We can all point fingers at Trump for discussing it, but it was going to be an issue, even if he never said a word.

“not on the merits, but based on ‘lack of standing.’”
Interesting. That was Obama’s strategy too.

Rubio was born in 1971 in Miami, FL. At his birth, he was a US citizen via jus soli as established by the 14th amendment and codified in US law under title 8 section 1401 subsection A.
I predict this lawsuit will either, be dismissed for lack of standing, fail as Rubio is unlikely to be the nominee nationally and this be moot, fail as he complies with the law for being a citizen at birth.

I agree. I signed a few petitions against Obama’s NBC claim.

Lack of standing was exactly how the suits against Obama
were tossed in 2008 and 2012.

Trump’s mother naturalized four years before he was born. If trump not eligible, by that logic only full blooded native Americans and those tracing family all of them to pre constitution would be eligible. I an ineligible because my Illinois born father was notbecause my Grandfather came from Germany as a teenager.

This SHOULD be dismissed due to lack of standing. It’s why all the birther suits against Doh’bama failed.

If Rubio is not a citizen, then axiomatically all the anchor babies are not as well.
The left should be careful what it wishes for, since this can come back and bite them.

his parents were given citizenship in 1975. Rubio at the time said he did not know why his parents waitedFirst, who's this Rubio person you speak of? Second, he meets the born on US soil but not the two US citizen parents. Third, Hillary will win by default against Cruz and Rubio. She'll have this tied up in court for so long Hubble's great grandbaby will be eligible.
