You obviously haven’t checked out McClintock’s record. In fact, you can get a lot of info if you search his name right here on FR. He is ROCK SOLID CONSERVATIVE.

Unfortunately the crazy liberals on the coast outnumber the good conservatives inland.

I’m in Oregon and it’s the same here. The Portland area has enough liberals to ruin everything in Oregon.

Im in west central Marin County. well known for its Living In The 60’s :mindset”......30 miles north and a few miles east...of here....its far far different. People display the flag everyday....actually have real values and think for themselves.

I was very disappointed in McClintock when he did those things.

Very eGOPish of him.

I thought he was a much stronger conservative than that.

Good points.

I was really pulling for McClintock for governor but he got eGop’ed.

Heck, the GOP wouldn’t even help B1 Bob when blatant obvious voter fraud kept him from being in office again in CA.

Loretta Brixey changed her last name back to her maiden name to pander to the “Hispanics”

He voted for the latest Continuing Resolution.

He voted for TPA.

He voted for Paul Ryan as speaker.

On two of those he's got some 'splainin to do.

TPA is not necessarily the GOPe vote some would have it seem. He, like Cruz, might believe that there is no chance any trade deal negotiated by Commander Xero would pass this year and that therefore it would likely be up to a likely conservative President (Trump or Cruz for example) to renegotiate.

"TPA is not necessarily the GOPe vote some would have it seem."

I believe the GOP wants TPP (TPA) so badly that they have rolled over and greased up for Obama for the last 6 years...their first Congressional Majority under his term.

The Republicans have been paid for years to ensure TPP at all costs. And Immigration reform, putting illegals on the books.

Obama has received enormous favor in return.

Any GOP POTUS candidate will sign a TPP deal except for maybe Trump. He'll likely send it back for renegotiation if for no other reason than to save face.

But the Congressional Republicans will be pushing hard, in spite of the overwhelming opposition in both parties.

I expect the POTUS to propose and Ryan/McConnell to place on the floor a vote for TPP before the election.

Yes, they are so filled with hubris as to be evil.

TPP does the latter. It's an interesting and certainly plausible hypothesis, although I don't see any sign of it. My understanding is that some conservatives see TPP as a bulwark against China. I don't know enough about it to speculate on how that works.
