Wow, that was . . . unexpected. I was never a huge fan, but he’s a legend. I like his work with Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Not a fan...but wow.

Hopefully, for his sake, he made peace with God.

18 month battle? First I heard he must have kept it secret. All the recent news has been about how well he had been doing.

RIP David. I really enjoyed you in the 1983 movie “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.” Very moving performance.

Read just earlier this week it was his birthday, now this? He certainly made his mark in the music world and pop culture. R.I.P. (Isn’t his real last name Jones? - so very British)

Sad. Maybe more than usual for someone I didn’t know. Maybe because in his unique way he seemed larger than life and also because caught totally off guard.
Rest in peace.

I’m stepping through the door
And I’m floating
in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there’s nothing I can do.

:(

His music was certainly a part of my youth. I just saw yesterday that he has a new album being advertised on iTunes.

Oh man...

I remember seeing him in the first ever Tacoma dome rock concert back around 1983. Was with a gal named Cathy who was then and probably is now the most beautiful woman I have ever known.

Bowie was great. Space Oddity was just a beginning...
His music captured so many styles, it was incredible.

Well, for now, with tears flowing, here’s Moonage Daydream...
