White House questions Sean Penn role in drug kingpin case (Sean = Undercover Agent?)
LA Times ^ | 1/10/16 | Michael A. Memoli

A senior White House official described as "maddening" Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's boasts about sending illegal narcotics to America, but he declined to say Sunday if actor Sean Penn faced potential legal liability for meeting with the fugitive drug kingpin.

Denis McDonough, the White House chief of staff, was asked on several TV talk shows Sunday about Guzman's recapture on Friday and the surprising disclosure that Penn had interviewed him at length in October for a potential film project.

Dunno but he’s going to face a cartel kidnap squad. And the video they release will be a sight to see.

I love that this is a lose/lose for this loser. If Penn helped apprehend, which I seriously doubt, he’s a dead man walking. In fact, it’d be a pretty powerful message for drug lords that they can even take out somebody so wealthy, powerful, and famous. If Penn did not help apprehend but is seriously pro-Mexican drug cartel, he’s in trouble with Mexican and American law enforcement at both federal levels.

"Dunno but he’s going to face a cartel kidnap squad."

And hasn't he been going around boasting that he melted down his guns to make some damn sculpture?

I read something like that earlier. He’ll be hoping he was Ned Beatty before they are done with him.

I would think the charges would come from Mexico. Guzman was their prisoner. He escaped from their prison. Penn met with him in Mexico. I think some time in a Mexican jail would do Sean Penn a world of good.

Sean, dear boy... You want to get slapped down and defend a federal lawsuit? Of course you do, because it will cost us more and you will get publicity. How about you get eviscerated by a Guzman henchman? Just because you didn’t really respect El Jefe. Hope it goes that way.

I can say this much, the ability of hollywood to infiltrate drug cartels may be a bit derailed.

Sean may want to get the hell out of town. The AP bus just ran over him.

Although it was Charlize that made Sean give them up. Madonna allowed him to shoot all the time while they were married and no doubt will again. :)

Exactly. Those savages are gonna have fun with his stupid liberal can once they get him trussed up to. (”You, American...talk to the camera, say Mexico is the greatest Country on earth! We will put the blow torch on low if you say it! We promise!”). It is not gonna be quick either.....

Penn - what an igmo. He's been blundering in uninvited trying to involve himself into all sorts of disasters, "social issues" and what not for years, now it looks like he's finally bitten off more than he can chew.

By the look of Penn, it seems he’s been sampling some of El Chapo’s inventory.

Sean Penn: I Don't Miss My Gun Collection (1/13/2015)

It was at his annual pre-Golden Globes gala for J/P HRO that he revealed that girlfriend Charlize Theron convinced him to have his collection of nearly 65 firearms turned into a sculpture by artist Jeff Koons and then auctioned off for the Haiti relief organization.

I don’t think Sean fully thought this out before jumping on it for the fame. Even if not indicted, Sean may find himself forever compromised by his literal embrace of El Chapo and all the crimes he has promoted. This is not a script, Sean, it’s all very real. You, or someone in your family may soon discover just how real.

Sean Penn is still trying to reprise, in real time, his role in “The Falcon and the Snowman”.

Penn’s use of cocaine is not alleged. It is very real. He was meeting with El Chapo because he was in need of a hit.

The interview was just incidental.
