Crime is high comparative to other places I have lived. I was in Reno in 1994-95 than population was 130K (Reno + Sparks) Now its 255K.
Very scenic.
Jenny is the crime all over? Or just by the usual places?

Depends on what you are looking for. City amenities like malls, museums, restaurants without big city traffic, Reno is nice. A lot of illegals got dumped on Reno so rise in crime, lot of tourists. Twenty minutes south, capital, Carson City is small town with less crime but a lot less amenities. Further south another 15 minutes, Gardnerville, Minden, Genoa.
It really depends on what you are looking for.
Try using roasted garlic. I use two heads in the sauce for Chicken Milano and it is wonderful. No bitterness at all.

My parents were married in Reno in 1953.
Dad said the place was little more than scrub and a few drunks back then. Sure, there was gambling, but nothing like the casinos that emerged since.
Reno is STILL a small, very remote town. The nearest metropolitan area is Sacramento, 125 miles over Donner Pass.
All the land in Nevada (81%) is held by the US Government and deliberately kept vacant.

I loved living there s close to the Sierra and Lake Tahoe. Only a few hour to Sacramento, Napa, foothills and SanFran. I haven’t lived there for 8 years. The gaming downtown is down and some of the hotel casinos have been converted into residential. Reno was ground zero for the real estate bubble but I’ve been told it’s rebounded. They had some bad fires on the western slope of the valley—but the valley itself never got hit.
Also, the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center is a huge development—and they landed Apple’s data center and Tesla’s $5.5 billion battery factory. So the jobs seem to be coming from California—since there is no state income tax and property taxes are low. I wish you the best. There are many different neighborhoods depending on your price range.
Another problem is there is nothing here about the candidate’s character. Rubio ended up 2nd for me (after Trump), but I do not trust Rubio at all. He WISHES that voters would just do a checklist of this week’s stated positions. Then he could do a chameleon act to the polls and win.

These things are wrong. For instance, USA today used a very old quote stating the Donald Trump wants single payer, which is totally ignoring what he is running on.
People post Cuss words here on FR all the time and it’s against the Rules.
How many hit the Abuse button when they see a dreaded cuss word? Not many from what I can tell.
I laugh when I hear Trump use the BS or S**t words, but he always uses them in context.
If you notice he also uses the word Sodomize, a favorite word used here BTW, when talking about the 66 Year Old Woman and Air Force Veteran who was Raped, Sodomized and Murdered by an Illegal Invader.
How many people use the word Sodomize in polite conversation, even if it’s factual? Is that considered a Cuss word? It gets my antenna up more than any of Trump’s other colorful language. That is a word that the people in the Audience would have to explain to their children, not any run of the mill descriptive language.
Heck, we have a President who hates our guts and calls us Extremists, Haters and Bitter Clingers. That is beyond Rude.
The world burns and people are offended because Trump calls a Spade a Spade. Besides, the crowds love it simply because he is saying EXACTLY what they are thinking.
I’m taking a guess here, but I think it mean Trump To The Top, in place of Bump To The Top. Come to think of it, I may be guessing that BTTT means Bump To The Top lol.

My mom was a preacher’s wife for over 60 years. Once someone said “damn” about 20 years ago and she freaked out. She is for Trump 100%. The future of America is more important to her than some off-color words.
Taking the Lord’s name in vain (a Commandment) would make her raise her eyebrows (she’d still vote for Trump), but “bullsh!t”, etc., isn’t a big problem. There are bigger fish to fry.
