How about just making federal office holders uphold their oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States? Start by impeaching a 3 or 4 Supreme Court Justices. That should send the message that needs to be sent.

I think what happened early this week with the gun EO is going to bring a lot of angry primary and general election voters to the polls.

Cruz is really getting on my nerves today. Maybe it's because there was ANOTHER email campaign solicitation today, after yesterdays where he requested that "$5 Fridays" be $20.16 Friday in celebration of the New Year. Today's solicitation was a plea for more money because poor Ted has only spent $2 million on Iowa ads, and everyone else is attacking him, spending so much money. Where THE HECK did the $20 million go?

And now this? We don't need to amend the Constitution. We need to enforce the Constitution as it is. It's a very fine document.

If Cruz says he has to amend the Constitution to accomplish all that needs to be accomplished, he's saying he doesn't plan to fix the problems for decades, if ever!

Cruz is right aboout this. SCOTUS has given WAY to much power to minority positions of law.The majority is therefore over taxed, culturally hoodwinked, unrepresented
by the politically correct, and derogated in freedom.

Things mnust change either by the pen or by the sword. CVruz knows that the pen is much better. The left, including Obama, want the sword and have done all they can to make that happen. And they will do a lot more in the summer of 2016.

"Cruz has what Trump doesn't."

An American birth certificate with an American father and an American mothers' name on it?

GO CRUZ Take back States Right, mandate term limits, get federal government out of our schools and education system so teachers might teach AMERICA, TRUE AMERICA once again. Make a balanced budget a mandatory and deficit extent. STOP giving taxpayer dollars to our enemies, both foreign and domestic. And STOP this political PC Crap. Congress has found it win itself to make asinine laws for years, Now is the time for WTP to make our own!! Go Trump! Go Cruz! You win and AMERICA WINS to make America Great for Great Americans!

But Trump has what Cruz does not have, the ability to close a deal.

I think this might be a stumble for Sen Cruz. Not a good idea to bring this up at this time IMO.

Me too. The 17th Amendment needs to be repealed.

Which one flies in his own 757?

Which one takes donations from the amnesty crowd, from gay marriage proponents?

Which one has accomplished more, Trump or Cruz?

Well Mr Cruz it would be nice if you put out your own list of Amendments like Donald Trump did.

I still say that if this process is opened then it won’t be conservatives who are making most of the Amendments.

We would have a different country if those who were violating the constitution we have were locked up and put away.

This is the same old same old from the establishment professional politicians’ play book. “We need an amendment to the Constitution” knowing full well that is not going to happen. The R wing of the uniparty promises a “balanced budget” amendment the D wing of the uniparty promises a “women rights” amendment. The young and the foolish are fooled that old and the wise are not.

We don't need to amend the Constitution. We need to enforce the Constitution as it is. It's a very fine document.

Is the whole document fine, or do you exclude certain sections as not so fine?

Article V happens to be part of the Constitution, and the learned framers who put it there, did so for good reason.

Are you opposed to ANY amendments? Or, are amendments from the Congress AOK? Well, all Article V is, is a mechanism for amendments from the States as opposed to the Congress.

I’m not being sarcastic here. Will that make a difference? If it does, how? I mean, looking at the state legislators in my own state, it won’t change a thing.

We have the same issue/problem in Californicator land.

Term limits might help.

“If the SCOTUS ignores it and the left is intent on shredding the rule of law, what good will more laws do?”

Well, Gov. Abbott of Texas wants a Constitutional Amendment that would allow the states to vote to overrule the SCOTUS. I’d like an Amendment that mandated that each Justice be “reconfirmed” every five years by a vote of the people. I’d also like some legislation that would compel the SCOTUS to actually work for a change, and not be able to reject cases “they don’t like.” They are the laziest bunch in DC!

I disagree with Senator Cruz on this one. We don’t need a bunch of new constitutional amendments. We need a bunch of federal judges at all levels willing to uphold the ones we have. That’s a lot easier to accomplish.

Limit Federal ownership of land within a state to no more than 10% of the total lands of that state.

Limit state and/or local government ownership to 10% or less. Californicator elite rich, mainly DemocRats have abused the so called donorship of their estates for decades. They donate their land and homes to the government. Then, they use it for vacations or living on it as so called care takers. Also, they charge admission to visit with strict control re visitation dates and hours. The Hearst Estate is a classic example of this abuse.

Then, the counties with those properties, lose the property tax revenue each year and then have to provide police and fire protection without any tax income from these so called non profits.
