He needs to show us a little more.

Perhaps don't be so lazy and wait to be spoon fed and spend time on Trump's web site reviewing positions and policy papers and/or read his book.

I've spent time there and Cruz's web site. Many of their positions are similar.

I'm sure the guys he has employed for him have done a good job.

I need to hear from his own mouth two things: his fundamental principles and a coherent defense of several of his policies in at least a couple hundred, non-repetitive words.

and/or read his book

I can't remember the last time I read a book. I work two jobs.

Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. Zero. You’ve never pushed a bill through Congress. You have no idea what either version of TPA even says.

Willful ignorance is a sin.

Sorry, I know for a fact how they decide who votes for cloture and who votes for the final version - exactly the way they load up a budget for their districts and then vote against the bill knowing it will pass.

How dare you use scripture to attempt to hide the truth. How dare you. I can clearly see how you have adopted Cruz's methodology. Easy to see why you are such a fanboy.

I’m not hiding anything. I’ve actually seen the process up-close. You are choosing to believe that Cruz was somehow the evil party in all of this, despite evidence to the contrary. You’ve been presented with facts, logical reasoning, and evidence of claims.

“I think the Constitution is just fine as it is.”

Personally I would like it a lot better if a lot of the existing amendments were to be repealed but if we elected better people they would do a better job of governing even with the current constitution. We have been electing mostly people who should by rights be in prison.

“...which would render the law as a profit center for lawyers.”

Isn’t that what the law is now? We elect lawyers to make our laws which is one of the dumbest things possible.

“...Having said that, I like Cruz, but right now, I like Trump better. A Cruz win would certainly not be a loss as far as I’m concerned...”

We are similar in the reverse. I want and prefer to support Cruz in the primary, but I will definitely support Trump in the general if he wins the nomination.

Honestly, I wish they would just go ahead and announce they are a team so Freepers can all (well, most of us) start pulling together. The bickering is turning emotional and I see folks drawing “lines they won’t cross” because of meaningless and far too often childish arguments on the internet.

I believe that if they combined into a team, they would be absolutely unstoppable and the polls would be so lopsided, the Dems might as well stay home.

Damned if you do; damned if you don’t. I prefer legislators to be folks who are *well* familiar with the constitution and law. But on the other hand, what we have now seems unavoidably corrupting and it seems the only thing they can’t resist is the temptation to exempt themselves from the laws they inflict upon us and leveraging their position to feather their nests... and worse at times...

Someone smarter than me will have to figure it out.

I tend to like what you say.

For me, it’s TRUMP/CRUZ.

Agreed on the first three. Consider these: Change the standards of treaty ratification to 3/4 of the State legislatures.

Fix that stupid pair of commas in the Supremacy Clause to make it unmistakable that an unconstitutional treaty is void.

Clarify the Commerce Clause as directed to preventing protectionist legislation among States, only.

As to the Federal lands specification, I think the Article I Section 8 restrictions are fine. There should be no such thing, not even National Parks. The States can do that or not, as they see fit.

Well, I've seen politics up close too. If you are trying to tell me that lobbyists don't write the bills as directed by the donor class and the donor class doesn't tell the politicians how to vote, then you are ignorant of the facts or not being honest. If you don't believe that the number one issue with each politician is how to cover their votes with their constituents, then my aforementioned conclusion applies here too.

You can also believe that you have presented any facts, evidence or reasoning... it's all eyewash. A cloture vote to end debate is always the high hurdle. Cruz voted to help Obama over the hurdle by voting for TPA. And no, I am not saying Cruz is evil, he is just no different than the rest of them and he is not being honest about his intentions - he is a globalist that is really unconcerned about American jobs and he wants cheap labor from foreign countries.
