I have heard several commentators on CNN say the person was mentally disturbed rather than that this was radical Islamic terrorism. Just heard he had traveled to the Middle East twice.
I can believe his mom wanting to help him by saying this is a mental illness, but the facts are what they are: radical Islamic terrorism.
He did say those things. Then he said that this had nothing to do with Islam, I guess in an effort to deflect this Muslims actions from all other Muslims.
I yelled at the TV—”Of course this has everything to do with Islam.”

Why is it that libs are experts on what constitutes Islam, while at the same time wanting all vestiges of the Judeo-Christian God excised from public life?
Yesterday, the commish and newsies were trying to distance the perp from Islam, saying he did not attend a mosque regularly.
This morning, on FoxNews, an acquaintance said the guy was steeped in Islam and was even wearing the Islamic garb.
Again, we have an incident where the newsie/pc/political narrative does not fit the actual facts. Ironically, the newsie/pc/political narrative seems to hit the airwaves ahead of the facts. It is almost as if there is a pre-determined script for such incidents.
Well that's disappointing. I thought, for a change, we had an honest accounting...
