I’m with you. I’d rather be called over protective than negligent. And I’m sure I’ve screwed up more times than I even realized.
It”s easier for the Yahoo’s to blame the breed.
My dog was attacked by a lab not too long ago.
Yahoos? Read the links posted on posts 16 & 18.
Yeah, did I stutter?
Yahoo’s are always demanding ‘breed specific legislation’,like lefties always whining for “sensible gun laws”.
I wouldn't hesitate to leave a child with my chocolate lab. Labs are among the gentlest of dogs and mine loves everybody she comes in contact with. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. I would not leave a child with a pit bull nor would I ever own such an animal.
whoa...a blast from the past.
Chet sweetie..come back. You were right.

And yet I had a Lab lunge at my bulldog at the Vet’s office once. And my dog ran between my legs and was hiding and shaking. But I guarantee you if they had tangled up everyone in that room would have still tried to blame my dog simply because of what he is not based on how he behaves.
Thankfully the receptionist did see it, and they went ahead and took us back to a room. The Vet and his staff know my buddy doesn’t act that way. He’s too sweet and laid back.
Anyone who starts advocating to ban a certain breed of dog automatically makes me question their Conservative cred. I’ts no different than when liberals want to keep certain guns out of the hands of citizens because they can’t be trusted to be responsible and too many children have died due to guns, etc.
