I also prefer concealed carry but what open carry does is protect someone who inadvertently exposes a firearm from being charged with brandishing.

Turn the tables on them. Sue their butts off. If a baker cannot refuse to bake a cake for homosexuals, anti-gun people can’t call 911 and make false reports.
BTW,which five states DON’t allow open carry?
BTW 2 what is best holster to open carry a M1911? Military issue?

Which I think “open carry for everyone” would automatically fix....but a lawyer might think differently.

Some of the quotes in the article of anti-gun nuts indicate their murderous contempt for the lives of fellow Americans. They don’t think twice about endangering the lives of innocents.

Nope. Not as long as it pushes their agenda forward, they don’t care if it costs some innocent lives. Cost of doing (nefarious) business to them. Sometimes you gotta break few eggs.

I don’t open carry simply because I like the element of surprise. That is my choice. I understand why some choose to open carry. Furthermore criminals never open carry either so all they are doing is creating gun violence, not preventing it. Stupid liberals.

BTW 2 what is best holster to open carry a M1911? Military issue? I like the Galco Combat Master. I use it for both concealed and open carry of my full-sized handguns.

It should be considered attempted murder of an innocent person by lying to police and conspiracy.

Question: does the Open Carry provision protect a concealed carrier who might accidentally “uncover” his/her weapon?

Can't 911 trace the call? Surely we have the technology for that by now.
Yes - from what goes on around my area, most if not all are made from cellphones and they can and will ping the phones to zero in on a true location. Attempted Swatting goes on around here all the time and the communications center staff is very good at catching it. When they find a phone that is not even near the location where the caller claims to be, then it becomes a matter for an investigating officer to determine who would be motivated to do that. Usually it's simply talking to the intended victim to find out who may be mad at him/her and go from there.

Maybe - maybe not. Depends on what carrier the service is using. Some don't ping at all (yet), others may not be very accurate. But still accurate enough to tell if the Swatter is even in the same town or not.

That makes sense. I suspect another clue is that there is only one phone call. I mean, if a major event goes down, 911 probably gets several panicked calls all at once.
