Keep in mind that Progressives consider “mental illness” to be a disqualifier for firearms ownership.

This would class 200 million Americans (almost 2/3rds of the population) as “mentally ill” ...

They will be "mentally ill" if they don't put up a fight.

Recall how the latest version of the psych “bible” used to evaluate for mental illness says that 50% of people are mentally ill.

Consider how much, or how little, overlap there could be between that 50% and these 200 million.

Theoretically this could mean that ALL Americans are mentally ill.

I think I may be suffering some kind of distress from all the coverage of a problem that doesn’t exist.

I know when I want advice on mental health issues I always look to the trusted experts from the National Wildlife Foundation.

When I was a teenager I got a subscription to their magazine from my grandmother. Lots of nice photos of animals. They also had many stories of doom. All the animals would die off etc. please send money.

I was lucky and figured out the scam and have been cynical ever since.

Sounds to me, like this is a new tactic, between Gun control groups, Global Warming frauds, and their masters, to ban anyone from buying or owning firearms?

Just make false claims, that 200+ million people, will, without any doubt, become metally unstable, at some point in time, due to Global Warming.

Can’t have mentally unstable people owning firearms.

and the weather will be the same.

The weather will probably change. It might very well be quite colder. We don't know. Nobody denies the weather changes. It's been changing forever. The only think that is questionable is the amount of change humans can affect. And that is probably very little or nothing.

I'm pretty distressesd by winter.

That's just it...do these nuts believe people who live in the colder parts of the U.S. are going to be upset with warmer winter weather? I sure wouldn't. I'd be very happy to ditch my snowblower.

I wish I could be alive in 300 years to see what the history books say about the "great climate change hysteria".

In the early 1970s, when I was an earnest young science geek in junior high school, I tried to explain the coming ice age to my grandmother. It was in all of the papers.

She told me that when she was a young girl at the turn of the last century, all of the papers reported that the world was getting colder and how catastrophic it would be. Years later, in the 1930s, all of the papers reported that the world was getting warmer and how catastrophic it would be. Now, in the 1970s, all of the papers were again reporting that the world was getting colder and how catastrophic it will be.

She predicted that in my lifetime all of the papers would once again be reporting that the world was getting warmer and how catastrophic it would be. Predicting the end of the world was just how they sold papers. She just didn't understand science like I did.

I believe that she is smiling down at me from Heaven every time that I tell that story.

I have told my children that in their lifetimes all of the papers (or whatever the hell they call the lamestream media by then) will once again be reporting that the world is getting colder and how catastrophic it will be. If I am still alive by then, I will tell my grandchildren that in another 30 or 40 years the media will once again be reporting that the world is getting warmer and how catastrophic it will be.
