State Lawmakers Prep Gun Control Policies For 2016

State lawmakers are scheduled to consider stricter firearms policies when they return to their respective capitol buildings in January.

In Illinois, a bill introduced by a Democratic state lawmaker in late December would revoke a citizen's firearms owner ID card and result in the seizure of the individual's firearms, if the person's name is added to the FBI terror watch list.

A Nevada Democratic state senator announced a similar bill on Dec. 14 that would "prohibit those on the Federal No-Fly List from purchasing firearms in Nevada." The bill echoes legislation that recently failed to pass Congress.

Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg's operatives are also pushing to get an initiative on the 2016 Nevada ballot that would criminalize private transfers of firearms. Bloomberg-funded groups are heading to other states like Maine and Arizona to propose similar gun control initiatives.

Heads up folks. The ever meddling nannie bloomers has already managed to get the private gun sales initiative on the '16 NV ballot. Let's NOT go the way of Oregon on this. On the other hand, I've pretty much gotten to the point of not caring what they pass anymore. #2 will NOT be infringed. Free trade with my friends and neighbors will not be suspect either. No fly list? For what alleged offense?

YUP! Pretty certain the community organizer in chief has been canoodling with the state level sycophants and cooked up this obscene batch of infringements (See Virginia’s AG dumping all over CHP reciprocity with the “governor”).

Those restrictions that are not fait accompli through executive chicanery, have a better than average chance of making it through legislatures tied, as they will be, to a misplaced furor over supposed police abuses. “Gun safety legislation” is potentially a death knell for much in the way of firearms freedom. It may also precipitate a reichstag fire like event, giving cover to an administration craving more control at any cost.

Let's strip them of all governmental positions, salaries and retirement benefits while we're at it.

We can counter by outlawing security guards of any kind from carrying weapons in defense of government officials in New York.

Bloomberg doesn't mind taking away our guys because he's surrounded by men carrying guns - protecting him. He's an assh*le.

Bloomberg feels those with enough money to hire guns can be safe and the rest of us should be stripped of our right to protect our families. We need to fight back in a way that will hurt white liberal elites with their hired guns and take away their safety like they're trying to take away ours.

The Progressives want a civil war.

They’ll change their minds when they get one.

That would be a great poison pill to tuck in in a rider...

It would ensure that government employees are excluded from the list, if they are not currently.

There is an awful lot of this crap with two sets of rules, one for our servants, and one for us. An especially bad arrangement when one considers the servants are the privileged class.

One set of laws for everyone. Even royalty (since the Magna Carta) was not supposed to be an exception--and in America, we have no royalty.
