14 transistor radios and two cases of creamed corn

That's a head scratcher.

Creamed corn??? Ah, Congressman David Dilbeck comes to mind. Perchance were there any cowboy boots found in that hotel room?

I didn’t check but how many paragraphs did it take before the ‘objective’ press told us the party of the perp?

Then again, if he had been a Republican it would have been in the headline... or first sentence.

Not that they’re biased poor excuses for journalists or anything...

I wonder if anyone opened the cans? How difficult is it to self-can things? A lot of $100 bills would fit into a normal can and properly weighted no one would be the wiser. You just have to clue a couple of people in on it so they don’t throw dispose of the cans when you kick it.

I never thought of THAT, PLMerite !

Maybe there WAS another couple hundred thou of bribe money sealed up in those creamed corn cans. Shucks, there may be a kernel of truth to what you put forth.

You are a veritable Sherlock Holmes, with your ear to the ground!

Illinois is my home state and it's part of the midwest corn belt, and for Secy. Powell to think of such a hiding place would be carrying canny to a whole new level. All it would take would be true grits....which he seemed to have.
