The Energy & Environment Legal Institute has obtained government emails that show the EPA secretly worked with environmental lobbyists to craft its Clean Power Plan regulating greenhouse gases. The emails show this secret alliance designed a standard that would be impossible or economically ruinous for existing coal plants to meet-in order to force their closure.
The New York Times first reported that in 2014 environmentalists Dan Lashof, David Doniger and David Hawkins-all with roots at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)-drafted a "blueprint" that "influenced" the greenhouse gas rules. That wasn't the half of it.
The emails, obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests, show that this trio and other environmentalists essentially wrote the rule. Their inside man was Michael Goo, who worked at the NRDC before becoming the EPA's Associate Administrator for the Office of Policy. The emails show intense 2011 communications between Mr. Goo and high-level officials at the NRDC, the Sierra Club and the Clean Air Task Force. Mr. Goo used a private Yahoo email account to send multiple drafts of his options memo to these outside groups, which returned them with draft instructions.

As with Bernie Sanders, I wonder where Mr. Goo, Mr. Lashof, Mr. Doniger, Mr. Hawkins and Ms. Jackson invest their money.
EPA, making law without authority for forty years.
Taxation without representation, we have fought this before.
“EPA, making law without authority for forty years.”
One of many gifts to the nation of Republican President Richard M. Nixon. The liberal Supreme Court justice Harry Blackmun was another (author of Roe v. Wade).
An EO gave birth to the EPA.
Time for an EO, to kill it.
Cruz will do it.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I can say with complete confidence that these three and their cohorts in crime at the EPA are fully deserving of public hanging should these emails prove to be true. I urge swift conviction, and the sentence that conviction demands. Until we meet this underhanded evil move to destroy this country internally, we will not have a moments peace. Less than a dozen hangings will insure peaceful co-existence for at least a decade, perhaps even a generation consisting of two decades.
all i want to know is does anyone associated with this admin go to prison for the millions of illegal activities they’ve engaged on.
These agencies are given broad powers to act along like small commie states, they all need to be gutted, all employees fired and restocked with pro American pro business values
“Time for an EO, to kill it.
Cruz will do it.”
I’m not optimistic about any GOP politician killing any agency. Reagan couldn’t kill the Department of Education, or any other agency. How many federal programs and agencies have Republican presidents and Congresses defunded or eliminated?
How is Cruz going to kill an agency fully funded by Congress? In addition, while Nixon did create the agency by executive order, that executive order reorganizing the government was ratified by the House and Senate. To end an agency or department authorize by an act of Congress, the House and Senate will have to pass legislation to do so.
Correct, but that does not rule out the distinct possibility of a continued Congressional GOP majority with a Cruz or Trump POTUS that could remove or re-write the law restricting agencies like EPA to their authorized mandates.
I don’t think there is any IF of a Cruz or Trump Presidency. Both the Majority Leader and Speaker are so malleable they will likely become much more conservative when lead by a no-nonsense POTUS.

There is hope for the House since it is accountable to the people. Unfortunately, in a Senate with a small GOP majority, and 6 year terms, there are too many moderate independent actor/egos. McCain, Collins, Graham, Corker, Alexander, McConnell, Hatch, Kirk, Ayotte, Murkowski, and a few others are more than willing to cross the line on matters of principle. We’ve also seen turncoats such as Specter, Jeffords, and Chafee. In a situation where Cruz is elected president, and the Democrats have 49 seats, I can easily see Harry Reid persuading two of those listed above to switch sides and form a Democrat majority in the Senate.
McConnnell has demonstrated he despises the conservative base. As Senate leader he will not be an advocate of much of the agenda of President Cruz.
Much of the federal gub mint has been compromised by the mooselimb.
Can’t do anything about his illegalities cause he is a negro.
They will fight back....especially the mediots who support this sort of policy.
You are correct, these agencies need to be closed, their assets sold, and the individuals who populate them need to be charged under the RICO statutes.
Frankly anyone/everyone who is associated with this administration needs to be charged, convicted and executed. The entire lot of them are treasonous SOB's who should be expurgated from the earth.
