I will not vacation in Virginia as there are many safer places to spend my money.

The Govenor replies:

Dear Mr. Hex,

Thank you for your recent support for my decision to bar outsiders from carrying dangerous weapons on Virginian soil.

This is a good first step towards keeping these dangerous weapons off our streets. It is my intention to direct the legislature to enact common sense gun laws that include removing the shall issue provisions of our concealed carry law, and this will allow us to remove even more dangerous handguns from our streets.

Thank you again for your support in this matter.

This, coming from a state that allows for anyone to apply for a Virginia CCW permit after taking their 1-hour online training class ?? Without even demonstrating basic competency at a real live range ??

Any CCW class in the state of Texas, for example, would be much more thorough than this, and Virginia is not recognizing CCW permit holders from other states that have real live training classes with required range tests ??

Also, Virginia’s background checks for CCW applicants are no different than any other state’s process.

This is a transparently stupid attempt to simply take rights away from lawful gun owners.
