A meaningless static analysis. I don’t think it gives sufficient consideration to the effects of economic growth or the reduction of waste, fraud and abuse.

Waste, fraud and abuse have been railed about for years but seem to have increased geometrically since Obama was elected president and now exponentially with a Republican controlled congress.

That is awesome. Just think how much economic activity that money will feed. That is so much better than draining the economy to maintain a permanent poor class (who will always vote Dem).

BUMO!

It is TIME to DownSize DC! CLOSE entire Rogue/Uconstitutional Departments including their SWAT Teams.

I stated “close” not “cut”.

Eliminate huge regulation pools. Send Leftist government workers back to the “private sector”.

And watch what happens, via independent businessmen.

Obama's taken us to 20 trillion in debt. Did Republicans do anything to stop that?

THESE Republicans did NOTHING, and might as well just switch parties, and make it official. They are Democrats at heart. No wonder there is so much anger in flyover land. This ass hat pubbies just don't get it, and never will.

Well reducing Government revenue is good; unless you keep the spending levels the same......

Yeh it would promote the creation of jobs so if we get millions back to work everybody is paying tax. The rich are the last time I looked the job creators.

That means $9.5 Trillion CUTS in Federal spending!

Uh, no it doesn't. We've been running deficits for decades. What makes you think that spending would decline just because revenue does?

You left out one important caveat: ...assuming federal spending continues to grow at the rate of inflation.

If you project decreases of two percent per year in federal discretionary spending, you get a much, much different result.

We all know we have entire departments that must be cut back if not completely eliminated. For example, the federal government needs to get out of the dispensing of health care, trying to control the quality of the environment, education, housing, etc.

Whenever I see the word “unsustainable”, I know I’m dealing with an inexperienced, self-righteous, clueless, talking-point spewer; and I just stop reading right there.

Talking to the masses.... Just ask tell them they get to keep $9.5T of their own money with his tax plan. Don’t over complicate it. Let the RATS defend against that.

Notice that none of the Progressive pimps even considered cutting expenditures .... say, like 9.5 trillion dollars.

It is strange how the pundits neglect to mention the effects of the Reagan tax cuts. Reagan’s tax cuts resulted in an increase in tax revenues for the Federal government because of the economic growth the tax decreases caused.

Reagan said he got his ideas of how tax decreases increase growth from John Kennedy, who got it from Konrad Adenauer who got it from Alexander Hamilton who got it from Joseph in the Bible.

In 2002, tax specialists who had served in the Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton administrations established the Tax Policy Center to provide analysis of tax issues.

TPC is funded by individuals, corporations, trade groups, and foundations including the Ford Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Doesn’t that just drive you up the wall?! I hate it when politicians/morons use that expression.

It doesn’t “cost” a damned thing. It’s money that the US Government doesn’t steal from the citizens.
