Rubin's one of those East Coast neocons who are 100% there for you on budget issues and tax reform ..... but then flop over and join the 'Rats 47% of the time, which is whenever a social issue comes up.
Then they go all Pod People and point and screech. "Klaaaaannnnnnn!" Yeah, right.
Someone tagged Rubin's stuff over a period of time and a spectrum of issues and figured that she's "53% conservative". She's a social liberal who knows how to count. That's about it.
What's really peculiar is that positionally she probably doesn't diverge all that much from Trump, who's another East Coaster pickled in liberal brine.
Oh, and she is WaPo's replacement for the infamous Dave Weigel, who was their phony-conservative journalist on the "conservative" beat. He covered conservative issues and personalities for years, then finally exploded in a classic liberal meltdown rant, hating on everything and everyone in the conservative movement. He is currently dissecting ant **** on a blog somewhere.
And Rubin is the woman the WaPo hired to replace him.
The symbolism in the shirts is black-nationalist colors and Communist iconography (the raised-fist logo). I think the ANC and SACP used both colors and icons (see the new SA flag) during their war against the South African government, and the Black Panthers have also used them.
The colors (black, no white) originally go back to Marcus Garvey and his "Back to Africa" movement.
So insulated from the real world, they don't see the effect big government has on the WORKING, lower class. Those so-called ignoratti see what open borders have done to our communities, our schools, our job markets...but the elite don't let reality intrude.
I feel some schadenfreude. Their artificial world is coming to an end.
