The Falcon 9 is much much taller than the LEM.

I’ll have to watch the launch on Google Earth.

Thank you. Those were two very nice presentations.
The landing in the first video was such a pleasure to watch.
Isn’t he being a bit optimistic in his reference to using the same rocket 1,000 times? I thought the process was rather destructive to the drive valves and nozzles.
Am I wrong in that, or would it be that those would only require a rather minor replacement cost?

Well, that helps. I have a little bit of trouble here watching it at work. At least tomorrow I will be home. Thanks for letting us know, Jack.

Musk is more salesman than anything else. After all, he talked us into buying Teslas for all those rich hollywood people, didn't he?

Yes, I think 1000 times is unrealistic. I think he was saying ten times is the goal somewhere else. But Spacex is already the lowest cost launch company. Even if they could only reuse it two or three times, the saving would be so great Spacex could bankrupt all other launch carriers in that capacity range. If they can do better than that, things like orbiting hotels, moonbases and Mars become economical.

Please post this thread again Monday if you can.

Well, that would be good. I do want access to space, so I hope someone is successful here.

That was another very good video. I should snoop around for more of those.
Thank you.

Not today. Weather wasn’t up to snuff. They’re apparently going to try again tomorrow.

Currently monitoring Spaceflight Now’s website. Still no video available.
Tweets say the weather is a “go” and they’re coming up on the poll at T-minus 35 minutes, with propellant loading at T-minus 30 minutes.

All systems and weather are still ‘go’. Inside 6 minutes.
