It's the fault of mall owners. They won't spend the money to keep the mall safe. They also won't keep the gangs out for fear of being accused of racism. And eventually, when the mall goes under, they will be scratching their heads wondering why.

So many malls are screwed because their shops increasingly cater to non-white teens which in turn repels the shoppers that had previously been their bread & butter. This explains a lot of the growth of online shopping, IMHO.

One of our local malls really saw the writing on the wall when a tattoo parlor opened in one of the many empty spaces...

The whole concept of large enclosed malls was based on a set of assumptions about a law-abiding, cohesive culture; these assumptions are no longer valid.

Which is why large enclosed malls are being replaced with strip malls, at least in my neck of the woods.

I used to feel badly when I posted agreement on something like this.

No more.

I’ve never seen white teens rioting,looting,burning, or doing flash mob smash-and-grabs at a mall.

If it does happen it is very rare.

I have stopped going to malls. This one is the one my sister goes to when she goes. Thankfully, I know they were having early Christmas today so none of my family was there.

I still remember going to Northridge in Milwaukee about 20 years ago and a gang of black males basically took over the bottom floor. I got my son and myself out of there fast! That mall is long gone.

That is similar to what happened to a very nice, very popular mall in Tampa, Fl named Tampa Bay Center.

It all started with blacks attending a black college football game at a nearby stadium hogging the mall parking spots and mobbing the mall.

The mall prohibited parking except for paying customers and blacks retaliated with charges of racism (of course).

Then mobs of surly blacks just hanging out inside the mall drove paying shoppers away.

First one store closed, then the anchor stores left, one after another.

It didn't take long and there weren't enough stores remaining to justify opening the doors and the entire mall was torn down.
