I want to like Rubio. I loved him in 2010. The bloom fell hard off the rose during immigration. I still think he’s a talented politician and I think he’s a good advocate on most issues. He’s just doing more and more to make me think he’s purely focused on self-advancement. His complete absence on almost everything in the Senate since immigration doesn’t help.
If he votes against it, he ticks of his big money and Chamber of Commerce backers. If he votes for he ticks of base conservatives. Marco Rubio wants it both ways, and is a Coward.
Yep. He's toast. By not voting he opens himself up to criticism in the next debate. Trump, Cruz and everyone else is going to bury him for his cowardice.

How hard would it have been for him to show up and make one vote? The guy’s finally getting a tiny bit of momentum against Cruz, and he’s squandering it. Now the story can be changed from whether Cruz supported amnesty/was saying one thing and doing another, to Rubio being similar to Obama in that he doesn’t like to show up and do his job. Remember all of Obama’s present votes Marco? That is not something you want to emulate.
