NH Union Leader Blasts Cruz For Being 'Teddy Trump'
thehill.com ^ | December 17, 2015

An influential New Hampshire newspaper wrote a scathing editorial of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), likening the Republican presidential candidate to Donald Trump and dubbing him "Teddy Trump."

The New Hampshire Union Leader, which threw its support behind rival Chris Christie last month, penned an editorial criticizing Cruz's refusal to go negative on the Republican presidential front-runner and accusing him of trying to appeal to Trump supporters in the event the real estate mogul plunges in the race.

Trump's candidacy is a threat to the Republican Party and the conservative movement," the editorial continues. "Yet Cruz is content to let Trump fly the GOP into the side of a mountain, because Cruz thinks he'll be able to walk away from the crash. It's a shallow, cynical play from a candidate putting ambition above all else."

LOLOLOLOLOL

AND BOO-HOO!

NEWS to the SOUR GRAPES UNION LEADER:

IT'S CALLED SMART POLITICS!

BTW, I didn't see your endorsed fat-boy, New Jersey RINO candidate go after Donald Trump either!

Nothing like a whining newspaper ... LOLOLOLOL

Sad. The Union Leader has been pretty good in the past.

I hope they recover from this stupid blunder.

Did they change hands? Endorsing Christie???

You know, I think you might be right -— about that newspaper changing ownership. IIRC, the old lady passed away. I recall that my husband, DrO, knew her, (he’s also passed) and now that you have mentioned it, I sort of remember he told me she had died. I know that she was really OLD.

Yeah, their endorsement of Chris Christie was a doozie. I mean, who’s going to forget his buddying-up with Obama right before Election 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy?

Christie has some responsibility for Romney losing. Christie was all over the news praising Obama and kissing his butt for his help and assistance for New Jersey. SICKENING.

Nacky Loeb died 15 years ago. The newspaper was taken over by the McQuaids, relatives of the original founder of the New Hampshire Sunday News. The paper's drift to the left is more a reflection of New Hampshire's changing demographics starting when people from Massachusetts moved northward to escape the high taxes but brought their loony political ideas with them. I'm glad I moved away while the Old Man of the Mountain was still there and Live Free or Die actually meant something.

Hahaha. Okay so now Trump is Cruz’s fault? Ah, no. The headline should read: NH Union Says Trump Will Drive GOP Into The Side of a Mountain.

No one controls Donald Trump. Hahaha. His supporters THINK they do, but just wait.

Boy I tell ya ... it's getting harder and harder to be a New Hampshirite these days.

This state has gone down the lib path so fast it makes my head hurt.

The Union Misleader and Joe McQuaid have become the biggest Establishment “Butt-boys” in the past decade it is embarrassing. But I guess what can you expect from the state that “unfortunately” gave us the Sununu’s.

Funny how the newspaper doesn’t have any problem with the fact that Chris Christie appointed a Muslim brotherhood linked Muslim to the New Jersey Supreme Court

The Union Leader has been drifting left since 2000. It was once an outstanding paper, but in reality, most papers no longer carry the weight they once did concerning politics.

Another reason why I do not even access this useless rag online...and I used to subscribe to it, back when it was a Conservative Newspaper.

The Union Leader has not been influential since the mid-eighties. Mad Magazine is more influential than that litter box liner.
