The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) is a radical gun control group with a long history of considering gun ownership to be near treasonous, and who routinely refers to gun owners as “insurrectionists.”

Twice this year they called upon their followers to “SWAT” gun owners.

SWATting is the practice of making a 911 call in order to draw police attention to someone you don’t suspect of committing a crime.

"By any means necessary." Could that lead to someone being charged with a crime. Such as the caller?

insurrectionists fought and gained our freedom from England. Today’s socalled “liberals” would be the tories of yesterday who would rat everyone out to the British soldiers. Shameful.

This is easy to stop. Take detailed info from the caller and make sure you (the cops) know exactly who they are...and then when the info proves to be false...put them in jail.

. That will stop "swatting" in its tracks.

You gotta think that cops dislike it when they’re used in this way...

The LAUSD evacuation yesterday was probably the largest SWATting in history.

In most jurisdictions, what this clowns are proposing could make them an accessory to murder.

In fact, if they were to SWAT someone, and the SWATted person were to take a life in self-defense, the victim might never see a day in jail while they could go in for life.

Absolutely, they don't need any help targeting innocent victims and deciding which dog to shoot, they're perfectly capable of that themselves, lol

In some populated, liberal areas, cops might like this, as they get to add to their personal collection when raids go bad.

Some might relish the opportunity to turn out in armor with an MRAP, flashbangs, dogs and battering rams. Not all, mind you...

Making entirely fabricated and false 9-1-1 calls should be punished very, very, very seriously. Innocent people can get killed because police either get trigger-happy and/or because police, fire, and rescue personnel are tragically delayed when a REAL event (like a traffic accident) occurs on the other side of town.

Sadly, ‘they’ don’t care just as long as a gun is taken off the street.

Too many departments really like to SWAT. They regularly SWAT on statements of druggies they know to be unreliable. If they can get one such to say that any address that comes to mind is a drug dealing center they will SWAT it and claim it to be a righteous mistake later.

Those that call in false emergencies that result in the victims getting injured should be executed. There should be a death penalty for those that call the police with these complaints and accusations. Liberals won’t like this but it would stop it in its tracks.

It is illegal and the group should be charged. Anyone who is a victim of this should sue them.

I’m thinking multi-million dollar lawsuits if there are injuries or deaths.

Much of this over-reaction can be laid at the feet of “polezei locus”.

In Michigan, open carry is legal. Not long ago, my neighbor had a visitor from Indiana with a belt-holstered Glock-9.

Me, (not being reactionary), wondered whether the visitor needed to identify to the local constabulary, so I called the DPS. DPS told me that it is considered a professional courtesy to do so.

Next thing I know, the local DPS showed up next door, tackled the guy and just summarily “abused” him (they used GPS locationing from my house phone).

Although I felt somewhat responsible, I did not expect such an over-reaction.

Maybe next time, I’ll just go ask the gun-owner about his weapon and leave DPS out of it..
