I’m with Rush on this one. I first enjoyed Trumps knee-jerk attacks but now they are looking silly.

To attack Scalia is just plain stupid. Especially on the affirmative action subject.

And to go after Cruz for not getting along with the GOPe in the Senate is strange given Trump calls all of them stupid himself.

OK, for the sake of argument, Cruz did criticize Trump.

Are Trump’s criticisms of Cruz, that he is bad for fighting the Old Boy Club in DC and coming out against govt subsidies of business, valid? Are these really bad things? If not, what does it say about the person leveling those criticisms?

Cruz flip flopped on H1B, immigration and TPP within the last two years.

This is fair game on Cruz-- Trump could have hit him on these instead of referring to him as a maniac-like. That was over the top for me and Rush was voicing my thoughts today.

Well, FNC doesn’t like Cruz at all. He is the conservative that has the best, but not ideal, record. I have a sinking feeling in my stomach. Hillary is likely unbeatable by anyone other than herself.

Not just stupid but worrisome if he actually believes it

Trump has taken illegal aliens--ridiculous refugee policy --two big problems facing this country

Let's see if he takes on the crime in our major cities and its reasons

IN fact let's see if ANY GOP candidate does

Mark Levin just coined a very insightful quote.. “populism without conservatism is liberalism”. Wow—

I thought that some time ago most at FR had concluded the issues of practically open borders, high legal and illegal immigration, and Obama's luring as many poor Third Worlders as possible and more and more Muslims into the US was the most critical issue facing the US at this time. All of that is nothing more than a massive Democrat voter recruitment drive.

It is now very difficult for any Republican to win the presidency, and it will be practically impossible if those trends are not slowed and even stopped. There is only one candidate who has raised those issues to a level no previous candidate even dared to do. This might be the last chance in the lifetime of most living Americans to stop the Dims move to import an electorate that will make the Dims almost unbeatable in presidential campaigns.

All these issue that some are so exercised about today are inconsequential compared to the prospect of decades of Dim rule and leftist court majorities at every level.

And Trump is the only candidate who could reverse these trends. Cruz seems more and more like a stalking horse for the GOPe and I do not trust him at all on the immigration and trade issues.

Ehtanol and Scalia and eminent domain and all this other blather will mean nothing if Hillary wins and appoints two or more SCOTUS justices, including Scalia's replacement, and continues Obama's open borders, Democrat voter recruitment policies.

Trump needs to get his message straight and stop allowing the media to get him off on pointless tangents. But Cruz is playing the fox and fomenting disagreement and causing damage to any hope that a Republican can be elected to fight the Uniparty goals.

Cruz, back in June, I believe, was live on Rush's show am said that "Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, looked him in the face and lied three times!"

I was shocked that anyone from DC would ever utter the word, "lie!"

He definitely (Cruz, that is) impressed me as a straight shooter, then I heard McCain, Graham and others call him out with very unkind words.

It was then when I became a Cruz Crew cheerleader!

Oh "er," we here in CA heard all your arguments when Arnold Schwartzenrenegger jumped into the opportunistic play in the historic recall election to replace Jerry Brown's handmaiden Gray Davis during out historic energy crisis.

You are obviously engaging in the politics of expediency and inordinate fear. If we all follow your logic, no genuine conservative would ever be allowed to mount a challenge to some celebrity wannabe politician that is nothing more than an opportunist, ever again!!!

Take a deep breath and remember that the most popular thing is seldom the most desirable thing in the final analysis. Also, take a gander at my tagline.

Actually, Trump is worse than McCain. I'd put Trump in the same ball pack as Bloomberg, who registered as a Republican simply as a tool to win elections cause he had very little chance of winning the Democratic Party nomination and was really not Republican at all in any meaningful way, but a strong Democrat at heart.

Joke post?
If Trump is the messiah, how come he is doing worse than anyone else in head to heads against Hilary Clinton?
See post # 16.

It's not Cruz who is spewing out GOPe taking points and taking The side of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner. It's Donald Trump who is doing that. Donald Trump is the new cheerleader/spokesperson for the GOPe

Polls about how anyone would do against Hillary are the most meaningless polls possible at this stage. And you take them seriously?

Cruz is the biggest fence straddler and hair splitter and mealy mouther on the key issues of immigration and trade of any candidate. And it was Cruz who voted with Boner and McConnell and the critical TPA votes and the Corker amendment.

Cruz has his billionaire sugar daddies and they will expect something in return. Just what might that be?

Cruz said he was lied to. A definite difference than calling someone a liar

I take them with the same seriousness the crazy Trompbots take every single poll that shows Trump with a big lead in the GOP primaries, no matter how obscure, which the Trumpbots continue to post here repeatedly with great glee.
Trumpets are exactly like Trump himself. They gleefully repost every poll with a Trump lead, but then trash every single poll where Trump is getting clobbered, often from the very same polling outfits that they praised to high heaven when they showed Trump leading.
You'd better deal with it, Trump does terribly against Hilary Clinton, much, worse than Ted Cruz does, and in the end that is what is going to matter. To make things worse, Trump has close to 100% name recognition, so he has very little upside. Cruz on the other hand, is still unknown to large segments of the electorate. Plenty of upside.

Ted Cruz's record in conservatism and conservative activism is by far the strongest amongst the GOP candidates, and he has the ACU ratings to prove it and his battle scars to prove it.
Trump? A lifetime of supporting far left causes like gay marriage, Obamacare, abortion, Porkulus..You name it, Trump supported that far left cause.
And now he has graduated to attacking Justice Scalia using far left talking points?
Let's face it, Donald Trump is the ultimate Trojan horse for Hilary Clinton.

I’d bet on the consistent conservative Cruz over flip-flopper Trump
