All of these films show a well-oiled defense establishment and NORAD control center all feeding vital information tot eh Joint Chiefs of Staff and the President.
All seem to know what they are doing and the language is quick, precise and to the point.

And it's nonsense like that seen in movies that makes the American public believe there's some "National Federal Institute of Background Checks" in Washington DC, probably a really impressive marble building in Neo-Classic architectural style with marble columns in front run by a flinty chief executive like actor Robert Stack. Valiant sentinels protecting Americans while they sleep. If any bad guys try to sneak past the Federal National Instant-Check System, why, their evil faces will be shown in rotating 3D wireframe on an impossibly expensive supercomputer database identifying their aliases in red text with a blinking dot on a map of America showing their location and all of their nefarious crimes.
When in reality the NICS check for firearms is an online database that tries to match up an applicant to a aggregate list of names that are 'prohibited persons' based on their last known address. The prohibited persons list is made up of felons periodically submitted by county sheriffs. Of course, if a felon goes to get a fake driver's license in a state that allows illegal aliens to get a new driver's license in any name they dream up, the won't be identified as a prohibited person. Or, if they just get their new baby momma girlfriend without a record to go buy it for them...
Meanwhile, false positives in the system for people with common names are declared by gun control groups to be one of "300,000 felons denied purchase of a gun by the background check system...".
Bingo. And she used a fake foreign address. (Thanks Feds! Great job “vetting”.)
