Dee Snider to Trump: I may not take it anymore
CNN ^ | December 10, 2015 | Daniella Diaz

Posted on 12/10/2015 7:39:08 PM PST by EveningStar

Dee Snider isn't sure if he's going to take it anymore -- when it comes to his friend, Donald Trump, using his music.

In light of Trump's proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States, the Twisted Sister lead singer said that even though he told Trump a few months ago that he could use his song "We're Not Gonna Take It," he's starting to rethink that decision ...

"My Donald Trump was a Democrat," he said. "My Donald Trump is pro-choice. My Donald Trump is what we call a Northeastern Republican, you know, fiscally conservative, socially liberal. But that's changing." ...

The artist has no choice. If Trump pays the mechanicals to ASCAP or BMI, he can use the music. Public performance is a compulsory license.

Doesn’t it bother ANYONE around here that Donald Trump’s (recent) FRIENDS see him as a Democrat, or a Northeastern-style Republican? “Prochoice?”

Yes and if I were Trump I would not stop using the song. His buddy will get over it after the election. He’s probably catching a lot of heat from other performers or he wouldn’t say anything.

That’s okay Dee, when your concert stage doesn’t blow sky high over the next eight years, you may have that Conservative to blame for it.

I’m sure Ted Nugent would be honored to have Trump use one of his songs....

It has bothered me from the beginning. Trump has never been a conservative that I can tell. He has always been strong on immigration and defense but that is it.

Dee Snider, your time is gone. The Donald brings it back and you wonder whether or not you are good with it?

Go back to your pool and relax.

Sure, its why I’m noton his bandwagon. But I admit his bandwagon is rolling along pretty good. Should tell Dee adios and find a conservative country singer with a kick ass American song who is socially conservative.

And if we do not have a secure border, stop illegal immigration, including that of jihadists, what else matters at that point? No border, no country. We can examine our navels all we want, but there are issues that a paramount right now and Trump is the ONLY one that is saying he will do anything about it.

“a Northeastern Republican, you know, fiscally conservative, socially liberal.”

I think I’ll start calling myself a northeastern Republican.
Small “L” libertarian doesn’t sound conservative enough.

Everyone knows Trump is no conservative but it’s not about ideological labels anymore. The political class of the Republicrat Party has so ruined this nation’s future that people are fed up with any politician. I support Ted Cruz, but I’m under no illusion that he’ll win the nomination. I know a few people who call themselves conservative, and I’m sure a number of you all do too, who are fed up with everyone with an R by their name who are going to vote for Trump. I don’t blame them if they do that and I think some of you Cruz supporters either fail to see or don’t want to acknowledge that Trump has a legion of support out there among our own ranks.

Considering that the country is on it’s knee’s, I will take strong immigration and defense so we can get back on our feet. If we get a Yeb, Sanders or Clinton; the republic is done withing 10 years.

"My Donald Trump was a Democrat," he said. "My Donald Trump is pro-choice. My Donald Trump is what we call a Northeastern Republican, you know, fiscally conservative, socially liberal.

And this is why I do not trust Trump. His liberalism.

Donald just this week said he was part of the establishment a few months ago, and now he claims he isn’t.
