HARTFORD – Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Thursday that he is directing the state to deny gun permits to anyone on federal government "watch lists,'' making Connecticut the first state to seek to block firearms sales to individuals who are prohibited from flying. "You are a governor for a reason ... to protect your citizenry. I am frustrated that our nation is having the wrong debate [about gun control and terrorism] and I'd like to see us focus on the right one,'' Malloy said.

Has he heard of the 5th Amendment? “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
Uh, that’s still not legal, as much as it should seem to be a duh thing, it is a dangerous move as no American can be denied their rights except through due process. You cant just stick a name on a piece of paper and then start restricting constitutional rights.
Or else we all will just happen to appear on this list because (reasons).

So anyone with common Anglo names like David Nelson, Jack Smith, Alexandra Hay, etc. will not be allowed to buy a firearm in the Nutmeg (Nutjob) state.
Most of the names on those watch lists are not even terrorists, nor are they from muslin countries.
How is he even going to know who is on the no fly list? Or is this a case of gun grabbers getting privileged access that the rest of us are denied?
