TSA vets to keep terror out of the air via the no fly list so Trump is right on to vet any and all entering USA with intention of mayhem!

I think they are probably looking at the mitochondrial DNA. While the many Semitic people are descendants of Abraham, they are not descendents of Sarah.

Bill O’Reilly just said Trump should’ve been on the cover of Time magazine instead of Merkel.

I don't have cable. Did O'Reilly mean that as a compliment or a slam?

If anything, O’Reilly’s comments were Trump-leaning. BOR made a very strong statement that Trump had changed the face of politics in the most powerful nation in the world. Really...no negative connotation to it at all. I was quite impressed with Bill.

I have to agree.

I think I posted this already...

I was a machinist for 8 years. If I noticed a part developing a bad finish, I would stop, figure out what was wrong and fix it before resuming.

We should be doing the same with immigration. We have a big problem, people who wish us harm are coming into this country and the current method of checking them out is not working, as is evident from the California shooting last week.

The only logical course of action is to shut down immigration of that group o people until we know what the problem is and how to fix it. Otherwise more Americans will die. In fact if we stopped it 5 minutes ago, more attacks will still happen, they are already here.

Trump is right, the only way to deal with any problem is to stop what you’re doing, figure out what is wrong, then you can resume, with a different approach.

That is true whether you’re talking about my machinist work, national security, running a bank or anything else. If you burn your first batch of cookies, what do you do? Keep cooking them at 500º? No. You stop, figure out what went wrong and turn the damn stove down next time.

I’m a photographer, and a pretty good one. You think if I start taking pictures and the first 2 are too dark I don’t stop and make some exposure changes? Not a chance. I make some adjustments immediately. (I often take 2 or 3 so quick I don’t know it until I look, so I might get a couple of bad ones, then settings are changed.) If we’re playing a song at band practice and somebody keeps hitting a wrong chord, we stop and find out what chord should be there.

You can’t think of any human endeavor that doesn’t work the exact same way. No matter what the job or activity is, if you have a problem you stop and figure it out, you don’t just let it go forever. If people did things like that WD 40 would not exist. Know how it got its name? Formula to displace water (WD = water displacement) attempt #40. If the guy had just continued doing the same thing and not getting the desired results, without making some changes, the world would not know WD 40...it took him 40 tries, but he changed things again and again until it worked. Hello WD 40...

Apt analogy. Makes a lot of sense, and it is imperative that people fix things that they see are not working. What is ironic is that it is better to fix it early rather than fix it later. If I am your friend, and I keep stealing small stuff from your house every time I come over (which you notice), you may decide to let it slide. Again. And again. And again. You are basically looking the other way. However, the day you decide to do something about it, you’ll probably lay hands on me and ‘teach’ me why stealing can have physical consequences! Now, it would have been much better - for both of us - had something been done at the first theft, but by ignoring it basically what happened was a real crisis was guaranteed in the future. Same thing with immigration ...it is better to fix it now, while it can be fixed, rather than wait until there is some massive attack in the future and things are far worse for both the natives (the massive attack) and the immigrants (backlash). BOTH groups would be well served by a proper solution now.

“The only logical course of action is to shut down immigration of that group of people...”

I say stop it for ALL people until the proper vetting process can be installed. Doing it this way shuts down the Liberal loons claiming discrimination. WE need to apply the very same strict standards to any and all who wish to enter our country.

Funny how giving the highest threat group in the world an extra look-see is deemed racist...
