It would have to be related to taking down Islamist recruiting sites, and work with the ISPs, whether they are cooperative or not.
.....................................................

You got it. He was suggesting eliminating Terrorists use of the internet sites to spread their vile recruiting.

Donald triangulated in two directions Monday.

First, he out-Cruzed Cruz on Muslim immigration.

Then, he out-Hillaried Hillary on controlling the Internet.

It's called the Primaries.

Waiting to see if this is something he actually said.

It might have been "what he said," but the way the language works there's a vast difference between closing something up in terms of plugging a gap and closing something up in terms of shutting it down. My guess is he was speaking of the former.

Trump said what you support. He said nothing at all about rolling up the internet. Ye Gods, how desperate is the media and the establishment.

OMG! Trump really stepped on it! When he said that he wants to talk to AlGore about the internet and how he wants to use it to control people’s minds to think the way he does, I just about spilled my soup. And. And he said he was ordering a golden chair for he Oval Office because that old crap chair that Zer0 uses isn’t up to his stature. OMG! The Donald is more than 20% bad! He makes me pee my pants!

Does not the Federal gov control many forms of illegal commerce on the Internet?
I guess my point is that parts of the Internet can be policed if crimes are being committed.
The real issue is whether Islam should be outlawed and perhaps proclaimed to be incompatible with the Constitution of the United States.
We do seem to be at war with it, after all.

On the radio today, John of John and Ken, not a conservative but a common sense American, was railing on Twitter and Facebook, and how they are aiding and abetting the recruiters. I think it’s a valid point to get some patriotism in American massive “sites” or platforms. It should be voluntary. These sites should WANT to ban or censor terror recruitment when they find it. They shouldn’t be forced to; they should WANT TO. They should be pressured by people, victims’ families, everyone, and they should do it voluntarily to save lives.

It's just the websites we shouldn't be able to get to for our own good. What could be wrong with that?

Do I need to close my tag?

Now, now...taking the side of someone lying is now the correct thing to do and is classified as an "opinion"?

Why bless your heart; didums.

Trump: Hey, I got a great idea! Let's get Bill Gates involved!

Trump mocked anyone who would object that his plan might violate the freedom of speech, saying "these are foolish people, we have a lot of foolish people."

"We have to go see Bill Gates," Trump said, "and a lot of different people who really understand what's happening and maybe, in some ways, closing that Internet up in some ways."

Trump characterized the problem of Internet extremism by saying, "We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet."

Um. Okay.

Time for Ted.

Related- Good piece at Breitbart:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/07/ted-cruz-crushes-marco-rubio-in-south-carolina-over-national-security-bulk-metadata-collection/

“.............From there, Cruz proceeded to detail how Rubio is engaging in dishonest attacks. He said:

>>> I’ll note this distinction-Sen. Rubio is arguing that the government needs to have all of our phone records and I assume by extension our emails and even our GPS location, to make us safer. That is not accurate. And it’s the same mistake the Obama administration makes with regard to gun control. Following San Bernardino, what President Obama and Hillary and the liberals say is we should take away the guns of law abiding citizens. What the Obama administration continues failing to do is distinguish between good guys and bad guys. We should protect the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens. You don’t stop the bad guys by taking away our guns-you stop the bad guys by using our guns. We are safer because we are a free and armed populous able to speak out and able to defend our homes and our families. And yet the Obama administration refuses to target the real terrorists and instead tries to undermine the rights of law abiding citizens.

At that point Cruz laid out how radical Islamic terrorists could have been stopped should the Obama administration have wanted to:..........................”

Go to the link. Investigate. Do you think the source made it up out of whole cloth? Read the context -- it provides a verbatim transcript.

Go to the Daily Dot homepage, just to smell the territory.

Just be willing to invest five minutes. There's no free ride. Invest, inform yourself instead of "waiting to see if this is something he actually said."

It sure sounds like something he'd say. Rambling and disjointed.
