“If corn isn’t used in cars the same yields can be fed to hogs and sold as pork.”

Which could then be turned into... BACON!

Everybody now: Down with ethanol! Down with ethanol!

But the bacon would offend Muslims so this whole thing is nothing but a recruiting tool for ISIS....

The only other GOP presidential hopefuls who openly oppose the ethanol mandate are Carly Fiorina and Rand Paul. Donald Trump, meanwhile, follows President Obama, openly, vociferously in favor of the mandate.

This is truly disgusting. Cruz, Paul & Fiorina are the only ones who have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for Conservative Principles in Iowa.

Ted Cruz's need to keep women barefoot and pregnant -- among other of his draconian politicies -- turned me off his presidential campaign long ago.

I missed that part. In all of his speeches and position statements I've seen no hint of any such need on Cruz's part, express or implied.

If you're going write a piece of "journalism" which makes a cavalier claim like that, you'd better be able to thoroughly back it up.

Otherwise you'll be deemed full of sh!t...

We as “ Conservatives “ should be standing with Ted Cruz on this issue since we are against Big Government, Government out of Control, Government Subsidies, a out of control E.P.A.

If Donald Trump is for Obama’s Ethanol Government Mandate, does Donald Trump have a stake and money tied up in the grand Ethanol pie ?

Follow the money..

He is a businessman man after all.

Troy-Bilt loves it too. They sell more yard tools because the ethanol kills the little engines much faster than it does cars.

Ethanol free gas is on every pump in all of the new Raceway stations. It was about the same price as diesel. When it first appeared at Gate stations in and around Jacksonville, it was stupid high at about $7.50. And some still say that competition is a bad thing.

Farmers can grow many other things besides corn and Iowans are smart enough to see what ethanol is all about

Yeah, the primary beneficiaries of the RFM and subsidies aren't the farmers but the ethanol producing companies. Farmers who are free to take the risk can make a lot more if they predict what crops to grow to maximize their profits.

Trump supports subsidies for Ethanol AND wind actually. I’m guessing solar will be happy as well once he gets around to them.

Not in our area. Ethanol free is not available around Houston, unless you buy racing gasoline by the barrel, or True Fuel for small engines at $23 a gallon.
