"Trump’s “solution” to healthcare is a single payer system like Canada or Scotland.

He has said that numerous times."

Of course he has. The record is clear. What's also clear is that too many Trump supporters are positively immune to facts.

What Trump ACTUALLY said doesn't matter. Yes - he absolutely has said that he supports single payer. Many times. Yet this person read the words "While we work out details of a new single-payer plan" and that translates to him as a "free market" solution. It defies logic.

Trump's a human Rorschach test for his supporters. Whatever they want to see, they see. Doesn't matter that he said his loony leftist sister would be a great supreme court justice. Doesn't matter that he gave money to leftists for decades. Doesn't matter that he has supported "Assault weapon" bans. Doesn't matter that he has personally abused eminent domain.

None of it matters because he's going to "Make America Great Again." How? He's just going to do it! If anybody gets in his way, he'll just say "You're fired!" and all will be well.

Hank

Forgot to add in there that Donald Trump wants to keep N.S.A’s program of bulk data collection, continue N.S.A’s abuses, proponent of National Registries.

What’s the next obsurd thing he is going to say ?

It wasn’t to long ago right here on Free Republic that many here were against the sort of thing Donald Trump is proposing, for, the N.S.A’s abuse program.

Ted Cruz stood up for our Freedoms and Liberty to stop this sort of abuse by the government.

Donald Trump proposes expanding more government by starting a program of welfare to collage students to cover their cost of collage tuitions.

When will people wake up ?

Iowa is completely different than the rest of the country. It is the way it used to be everywhere.
It is a very rural state where if you want the peoples votes, you go see them where they work, shop and go to church.
That shows them you are serious about representing them.

It used to be that way in every state. Just recently has it become about sold out stadiums and arenas.
The effects of the TV age and the 24 hour news cycle have really affected the campaigns.

Heck, I can remember a candidate for the US Senate climbing up on the hay wagon as we baled hay.
He talked to my dad and I for 30 minutes.
That led to an invitation to speak at the church, which led to an invitation to the school auditorium, which.....you get the point?
BTW, that fella won.
Beat a big money candidate who only did big shows.

So again, it boils down to not having an answer.

...And then you look and find...he’s behind Carson (whom think may be still in the middle east looking for that grain pyramid), and sometimes tied or behind Rubio. Nevermind being 20-30 behind Trump.

So someone is spinning a really misleading picture.

Or not paying attention before blowing off steam...

I've been "researching" and it seems most who talk like you don't really stand for anything - most use FR w/o donating to the cause and carp about not having a conservative choice w/o helping to fund a conservative's campaign.

It's never too late to turn one's life around:

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

Yeah, ok.

Seriously don’t reply to me with something so frigging retarded again.

OK big guy - do you or do you not donate to anything worthwhile?

I have put over $450 towards Cruz's campaign via monthly donations and am donating $50/month to FR. Other than quoting a lot of other folks and assuming the words have meaning w/o appropriate action, what do you do to promote conservatism (vs. refusing to vote for non-conservaives (there really is a substantial difference if one is capable of thinking about it.

Talk is easy - actually dong something useful is another thing that so many seem to shy away from.

Did you notice that Beck has also call Trump a Saul Alinski? Funny that you include him in your tirade about not compromising. Did you know that Saul Alinsky (and now Beck) would use your "retarded" statement as their "argument?

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:

“OK big guy - do you or do you not donate to anything worthwhile?”

#1 Why is that any of your business?

#2 What the hell does that have to do with my original post?

It seems like the only answer you gave is some batty post claiming that I “don’t stand for anything” based on some research you supposedly did (likely nothing), and then demand to know what I donate to, again having zero to do with that post.

I debate leftist online that are more coherent than some of the people on this site.

I put out an observation that shows that there is a real disconnect between polls and articles where neither can be right. That is now apparently off-limits to the Cruz base on FR to make such observations because it offends you or something. It frankly shows a growing level of derangement that is only going to become worse over the coming months as some of you grow even more POd that Trump’s support isn’t eroding no matter how many attacks are launched or how many articles claiming a Cruz “surge” are written.

-— His team has quietly ramped up from earlier this year, when it had just one paid staffer. -—

I saw the two of them in NH earlier this year. The lack of security was frightening. After he spoke, a photo line developed. One man said, **I*ve written a prayer and I would like to pray it with you.** I thought, oh boy, here we go. But it was heartfelt and Cruz prayed along with him. I was able to shake his hand and I wished him well. I also took a terrible selfie.
