New study finds children of homosexual parents have more than two times the emotional problems
Fellowship of the Minds ^ | February 16, 2015 | Dr. Eowyn

Until recently, a long-standing conviction of sociologists is that children do better — as measured by their educational achievement, behavior problems, and emotional well-being — in married, heterosexual, two-parent households, when contrasted to single mothers, cohabiting couples, adoptive parents, divorced parents, and same-sex parents. As an example, in their 1994 book Growing Up With A Single Parent, sociologists Sara McLanahan and Gary Sandefur wrote, “If we were asked to design a system for making sure that children’s basic needs were met, we would probably come up with something quite similar to the two-parent ideal.” (Slate)

This is an old article that needs to be disseminated. I didn't find it posted here previously.

Here's the rub that homoNazis don't want us to see:

"...until recently nearly all studies of same-sex parenting were very small. One researcher found in a survey of 49 studies in 2010 that their mean sample size was only 39 children, and that only 4 of the 49 studies were random samples. The number of children being raised by same-sex couples is so small – 0.005% of American households with children — that capturing them in a random sample is like finding a needle in a haystack."

Even sociology finds it hard to lie.

My thoughts are that homosexual behavior is a manifestation of emotional issues and any child raised in a household with two emotionally disturbed adults is much more likely to have emotional issues of their own. Crazy people beget and nurture more crazy people, this does not require a PhD to figure out.

Well, of COURSE children of homosexuals have more emotional problems. It’s OUR fault, all of us closed-minded, bigoted proponents of traditional marriage. If we were just more open and accepting of these little ones, they wouldn’t feel discriminated against.

Exposing kids at an early age to depraved perverts engaging in fudge packing or carpet munching CANNOT turn out well.

A sane, decent, respectable father (male) + a sane, decent, respectable mother (female) = the best chance to have kids who grow up to be sane, decent and respectable men and women.

It will, these are nightmares spawning.

The good news is that there never ceased to be a God and His offer has remained the same as long as there is a possibility of taking Him up on it.

Some of these unfortunates will end up, maybe after a wild pinball ride, but still end up, with the Lord. And they will have learned battle through quite an experience with the devil.

Or lacking this, at least one left who believes in the normal ideal and does not undermine it.

Hey if we decorate the halls of hell enough, they might become heaven (but that pesky God? leave Him out of the picture, He spoils the party).

I am not a defender of adoption of children by homosexuals, but adopted children, especially those that were adopted when they were older, tend to have more emotional problems than children with biological parents. I know this from personal experience.

Come on.

This country is awash in Gospel and Biblical access points — TV, Radio, Internet, Church buildings.

I cannot make people who alternately have their fingers in their ears or shake their fist at God accept biblical truth. Many are trying in various and numerous ways. They refuse. At some point the burden is on them, but their hearts are hard and hardening even more.

Yes,widows and widowers certainly can raise kids to be proud of.In fact,it's probably no unheard of for divorcees to do so.

And that might be better than a couple one of whose members is constantly torpedoing love.

Point taken. But the article addresses the entire spectrum of the emotional health of children "of" homosexual couples, even if these were surrogate children of a homosexual man, or the children of lesbians from anonymous sperm donations.

Every same-sex parented "family" is a broken family by design. It cannot be otherwise.

Yes AND no.

One has to ask with what attitude the gospel outreaches are happening.

As God has granted me a better and better view of Himself (and that by His merit not mine... I am still a screwball) I see how lukewarm the conventional church is.

It can take a “specialized ministry” with concentrated heart to break through where all of this other stuff does not, because it is so badly compromised with worldly ennui. And I mean what I say. Scripture you say? Well even the devil can repeat it. It all rests on God so LOVED the world. Not God so gave the world a bunch of facts.
