Great point ALWAYS OVERLOOKED ISSUE,even though I like Cruz on other issues as well
Bump to the Top
Cruz is a leader now, he was one of the very few sometimes the only one in the Senate to make a stand against Obamacare, Executive Amnesty and he's taken it to leadership more than once. Cruz is the most conservative candidate we have had since Reagan and he is ready to lead and be President of the United States. I don't get how being under Donald Trump, a man who was a liberal on and off again for the majority of his life, voted for Obama and backed the Clintons and Pelosi would make Cruz a better leader for the US?
Excellent Point!!!
It is. They are trying to equate hum to the trust fund babies that do nothing with their lives.
I think the Walters interview set them straight on the incredible work ethic he has , and instilled in his children.
OK, Brothers and Sisters, by what mechanism does the executive branch have any sway over Congress? It certainly isn’t the Vice-President/President of the Senate. I believe it was James Madison who pointed that out. Congress can have a hairy canary anytime it so chooses and there ain’t squat that the executive branch can do about it. Or did I miss something?
Do you think Cruz would buy into being second fiddle in a cat-herding exercise?
I guess you have never been in real estate development. Its all about persuasion. Getting permits, dealing with unions, negotiating contracts, dealing with inspectors. Its never ending schmooze and a lot of it with govt.
No, I mean Rubeo. The spelling is intentional.
Oh I think there is plenty of schmoozing so was fairly shocked at the opinion that DJT is a lightweight in the persuasion business. The writer obviously has no clue what it takes to succeed in such a business...either that or he was just more concerned with building up Cruz.
His stated desire to increase Hb1 visas is utter nonsense. I’m not sure if that remains his position, but I hope not.
I’m also pretty sure that no one has voted on TPP yet as it has not come up for a vote.
Only TPA has, and as far as I know he voted for it, then against it.
The worst thing Cruz has done is vote for the Corker bill. That was pitiful. That vote was pure kabuki theater.
The thing is - if he’s so smart then why did he vote for those things?
I still don’t know what to think of him. He is clever with words whereas Trump just blurts it out, like it or not. Easier to trust what he says.
A Cruz/Rubio ticket reminds me of the Reagan/Bush ticket. Great guy on the top of the ticket, second rate veep. It may turn out this way and it worked well for Reagan’s eight years. The problem is it left the GOP with a second rate candidate after Reagan left office. Given recent history the veep certainly isn’t likely to win after 8 years of an incumbent — the reason it’s beyond utterly foolish to suggest that a Trump/Cruz ticket would be great because Cruz would take office after eight years of Trump — but Rubio as veep leaves the GOP being led again by GOPe. It puts us back to where we started.
I do not know. I don’t really have much of a problem with his TPA vote, but the Corker bill vote just plain sucks.
That vote could have extremely serious consequences. Maybe it won’t but maybe it will.
That vote has made me wonder if Cruz is just another actor in the GOPE kabuki theater.
I don’t think he is, but I can’t say for a fact that he isn’t.
I would still vote for him, but that is a big ? for me.
As far as Trump goes, I do not believe he is lying to me when he speaks.
He’s too plain spoken to be a liar. I would also vote for Trump no problem.
Anything is possible, but not probable.
This isn’t the same society we had in the early 90s.
The dems start with 45 percent of the national vote.
Yes, some blacks are waking up. But if the dems had better candidates than Hillary! and Bernie this would be a much different election, even after the damage Obama has done.
I am guilty of being pie eyed at times and thinking we could pull off a 16 year run.
The millennials are fickle. They follow the cult of personality candidate much more than older people. They were a major part of the unholy group that gave us 8 years of Obama.
I realise the democrats bench has been decimated by the reaction to the Obama administration but they are far from finished.
The evangelical voters are just as fickle as the younguns.
I personally know people who don’t vote if the candidate isn’t a strong enough Christian. Many of those did not vote for the Mormon Romney.
Look at all the racial problems Obie has caused and allowed to grow. And he still has another year to agitate things.
The longer we go, the more shenanigans the dems pull with elections. If things look bad they will pull out all the stops on voter fraud.
Just think about all the Latinos and muzzies Obie is bringing in.
The muzlims will be deemed naturalized citizens by the activist courts and SCOTUS will confirm it.
Result is millions more dem voters. And you know how fanatical muzlims can be.
I have had my hopes dashed to pieces too many times.
I’m like the girl who’s had 3 or 4 guys in a row tell her *sure I’ll respect you in the morning*, she knows the chances of that happening are close to zero.
Yes, anything is possible. But I prefer to not count any eggs before they are hatched and the next two SCOTUS appointments are critical.
We make the wrong appointments there and it doesn’t matter who wins the White House.
I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer but I’m at the age where reality has bitten hard.
I hope for the best but expect the worst. My fellow citizens rarely let me down.
The leftist MSM doesn’t talk about it because they know Trump is rolling, Cruz is gaining steam and Hillary! is very beatable.
I like CRUZ on some other issues as well, but his knowledge of the constitution and law are his crown jewels.
No more Roberts or kennedys. We need more Alitos and Thomas’s.
I beat that drum whenever and wherever I can.
I agree with your assessment on the importance of who will be nominated to the Supreme Court, and remember Donald Trumps sister is a judge. She was originally appointed by Reagan but Clinton appointed her in 1999. Article here http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/423196/trump-praises-his-sister-pro-abortion-extremist-judge-ramesh-ponnuru
That’s because you are late to the FR slang, have a lousy memory, just want to be persnickety.
I was aware of his sister but didn’t know about the Clinton connection. I suspect any judge appointed since the loons started being eligible, call it the last 40 years.
I don’t know why more people don’t think about SCOTUS more.
I have a less than high school education but figured out long ago that they were overturning every common sense law that was passed.
Are we to wait until the SCOTUS is as liberal as the SC of California?
