Black Pastors Expected to Endorse Donald Trump (some new info)
nytimes.com ^ | Alan Rappeport

Darrell Scott, the pastor of the New Spirit Revival Center in Ohio, helped organize the coalition of religious leaders and said that after meeting Mr. Trump in person he was convinced that Mr. Trump was the candidate best suited to be president. He also said that the public portrayals of Mr. Trump as a racist and demagogue seemed unfounded after they spoke.

"I was looking for some subtle hints of racism," Mr. Scott said. "I didn't see it at all."

Mr. Scott, who said he was a registered Democrat who had voted for President Obama, said that he had been impressed by Mr. Trump as a leader and that he liked his ideas for improving the economy. He said that when he closed his eyes and listened to all the candidates, he found Mr. Trump to be the most appealing.

Mr. Trump has struggled to connect with some social conservatives because of his flashy lifestyle and the fact that he has held liberal views on some issues. But Mr. Scott said that he found Mr. Trump to be humble before God when they prayed together and that he had confidence in his faith.

Flashy lifestyle? His kids biggest worry is Trump's love of fast food.

You too can eat like a billionaire...just drive to the Golden Arches.

No, he absolutely is NOT a “racist” and frankly, I’m more than sick and tired of the racist card being pulled and pulled and pulled for no reason at all.

No drinking, no drugs, not a party animal. Pretty quiet family guy in reality.

He takes his grandkids through drive thru to get happy meals

When he moved to Florida he was asked to join clubs that didn’t allow blacks or the 40% Jewish population. When he opened his Mar.estate both groups were immediately included. The local.socialites were not happy. He is definitely NOT a racist

‘’I am more than sick and tired of the racist card being pulled and pulled and pulled’’

Don’t worry; the race card won’t be a big deal this election. Take a deep breath and prepare yourself to be assaulted with the vagina card — assuming PIAPS gets the dem nomination.

PIAPS makes me sick, as does Fiorina.

I look at Trump's past...that's all I can do.

I don't trust him.

He has given thousands of $$ to Dims.

He's been friendly with the Clintons.

I am very wary....

He has businesses in blue cities. Of course he gave to democrats. That's a cost of doing business.

Before deciding to run for office (and it started back in 2011), he was not political. He's just a businessman.

That said, now he's trying to save our country and, after studying the ways to do so, he sees that only conservative ideas can save us.

We are in complete agreement!

But don't forget that the BUTCHERESS OF BENGHAZI also LOVES to play the "poor widdle me/victim" card as well.

I think we know why the left is behind the whole Black Lives Matter campaign, and make no mistake this is being controlled and bankrolled by the Democratic Party. With no President Obama on the ballot the Democrats are afraid that some 2016 battleground states with large Black populations such as Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and possibly Michigan and Pennsylvania will fall to the GOP if the Black vote doesn’t turn out in big numbers as they had in 08’ and 12’. Of course the Democrats can’t appeal to Blacks with policy proposals, so they turn to the old reliable race baiting and race inflamed rhetoric to keep them in the Democrat column.

You're "wary" because you don't understand how business works.

You think that Trump is the only businessman who donates to politicians, with the knowledge that that money means that they "OWN" the pol ? If so....GROW UP ! And Trump gave tons of money to Reagan and Romney too.

Sure that's "crony capitalism" ( which I despise ), but it's the way the game is played now and has for a long time.

Greta once teased Trump for eating a pizza with a fork. I think he said something about not eating the bread. Since then, I want to be rich enough to eat a pizza Trump style, which I think is very fancy, only eating the toppings with a fork. Also low carb.

Right or wrong, if you want to play in their arena you have to contribute to buy their influence whether you like it or not. They were simply pawns which he used to get what he wanted for his business. The guy with the most money gets to have the most influence. It’s the way the game is played and he has obviously been very successful at it. Probably all more the reason he is financing his own campaign - he doesn’t want to owe or be beholden to anyone.

That is a laughable argument against Trump. Every successful international businessman does the same thing...donate to any politician who could throw monkey wrenches in his path.

Was Trump a RNC official?
Did trump hold any elected office as a republican?
Was Trump operating in areas controlled by democrats?

Any rational person will understand Trump’s past actions, if he/she has even a slight knowledge of operating a multi Million/Billion dollar business.

Main reason Trump is a multi-Billionaire and most of us are not is because we do not possess the skill to make friends anywhere and everywhere.

LOL.....you can do that now, if you so desire. :-)

Palin also ate her pizza with a fork and knife, when Trump took her to dinner, which is a huge no-no,in NYC; akin to putting mayonnaise on a hotdog.
