Whether Russia has been repeatedly violating Turkish airspace or not, the Turks were looking for this opportunity and when it presented itself they took it.

It would be sweet if Russia could take out the islamo guy running turkey. It boggles the mind that we have allowed islam to run rampant in these modern times.

“Russia’s incursion into Turkish airspace on Tuesday likely lasted only a matter of seconds”

Seconds or hours, the border was violated by an armed foreign power.

The analyst (MacKinerny ?) was saying he had trouble believing the plane would have been in the airspace for as long as the Turks claim.

The other thread has it that Obama backed rebels shot down the airplane. IMHO either one could have done it. Will have to wait and see if there are any further developments.

Two combined things.

The Turks shot down a russian jet and our “moderate” rebel friends claim to have blown up a russian chopper.

****************************************************************************
Turkey’s Islamist president (Erdogan) has his warplanes bombing the Kurds who are fighting against ISIS. Erdogan and his fellow Turkish Islamists have had a very LUCRATIVE arrangement with ISIS in which Turkish buys (at a very low price) the oil that ISIS is stealing from Syria. This financially props up the ISIS “government”. When Russia entered the battle it began bombing the ISIS oil transport capability which not only was weakening ISIS but also was costing Erdogan & his cronies a huge amount of money. And the Russian bombing was threatening the totality of that cash cow of the Turks and ISIS.

TURKEY IS NOT A FRIEND OF THE UNITED STATES. We should not support, in any way, the Turks’ efforts to protect ISIS and their allied Islamists.

By the way, it was ONLY the start of Russian bombing of ISIS oil capability that triggered Obama to FINALLY approve the US military’s long denied requests to do the same. IMHO, Obama (rightfully) feared that the effort would definitely be successful and he wanted to be able to claim credit. Hussein Obama would NOT have approved this had the Russians not undertook their effort...Obama is clearly VERY pissed off at this turn of events and he shows it.

Russia is operating with permission of the only government is Syria. Only Russia has permission to fly over Syrian airspace. They should declare Syria a no fly zone.
