He’s right. Again.
And it does work.

Oooh, waterboarding.
It offends the poor moslems to get a little wet.
The liberals will be p*ssing themselves.
To: SeekAndFind
Sorry but that gave me a big chuckle, particularly since ISIS isnt into foreplay and just goes to the beheadings.

They deserve rough interrogation for killing civilians just like Japan deserved the atom bombs.
Think incinerating cities including whole families was a bit worse than water boarding.
But that was evil and it was a fight to the death as well.

I believe lots of our Military servicemembers are waterboarded at some point in their training.

So on our side we have waterboarding, which is certainly unpleasant but the “victim” (i.e., the bad guy) survives to (hopefully) tell his story. On the other side, you have the bad guys, who don't waterboard, they just chop your head off. No one survives. So, tell me, which is worse treatment?

Why do you think he’s jumping the shark with that statement?

Not a Trump supporter, but experience has shown me that there is more to the story than this one line quote.

Why? How would that make them better soldiers?

It is in Survival, Escape, Resistance, and Evasion training or SERE. Mostly pilots go through it. The intention is to help the avoid capture, escape if they can, and resist interrogation.
They do a lot of creative things to the students in SERE. Waterboarding is just one of them.

On second thought I’ve come to realize that there can no longer be any “jumping the shark” in politics. If a foreigner can write a book calling the USA the greatest evil in history and demand it’s destruction and still become President, then there are no standards of sane conduct any more.

I went through E and E training prior to VN. The worst we had to do was kill a rabbit.
